    This is one hell of a sharp lens. I use it for almost everything and it does its job quite well. It has an in built image stabilization which completely eliminates camera shake. I use it for portrait, wedding as well as landscape photography. I believe Canon is not compromising on quality while making RF lenses even if they are not L series. This is a must have lens for Canon R series camera body users.

    This is a fast prime lens. I use it mainly as a full frame 35 mm but you can use it in APSC mode for a 56 mm for some extra reach.

    excellent for video & portraits! are there better lens, yea but for more money. If on a budget… worth it to get into R glass

    If you can only pick one lens to buy, this is the one. It does amazing portrait photos, and also doubles as a macro lens. I especially love the ring control, as a added bonus.
