This lens is my absolute favorite for portraits! It’s been my go to since I got it! Highly recommend!

What can I say? It's the RF model of the nifty fifty. It takes sharp photos all the way down to f/2 (f/1.8 has some vignetting). The only downside for photographers spoiled by the RF ecosystem is that the camera only has a single ring, changeable between focus and control via a switch. It may not be a problem most of the time, but if you use the ring to control the shutter speed or aperture in full manual mode, this design decision makes setting up shots a bit more annoying that it needs to be.

Great lens. Really no qualms whatsoever about this product. I’m miffed that I can’t use my other Canon lenses that I invested in - especially when other cameras in this current generation still support them, but those are the breaks I guess

Great quality lens but with limited range: I couldn’t get nice close-ups and no this is not a wide angle lens!

A very basic prime lens. Cost wise it is the least expensive of Canon's RF lens. Give reasonably good results.

Good lens for the most part but it is for more up close photography because it gives a zoomed in angle.

The good ol nifty fifty. If youre looking fo portraits or closeups then this is the one to get. So far it has doen exactly what i got it to do which was capture great portraits and closeups

A great lens at a fantastic price! It works perfectly on my canon r6 and I have no issues with focus or anything. Since purchasing it, it hasn’t come off my camera. I wish canon would sell more prime RF lens like this.

I am also the one on that boat. For $200, we probably deserve more on this lens since unlike its 35mm/85mm version, it doesn't have a stablization. This lens is actually very similar to its EF STM version but sell at much higher price. The biggest problem on its optical performance is the huge chromatic dispersion in the photo. Sometimes it's impossible to remove it with PS which is such a pain.

Nifty Fifty for the RF mount must have. Great lens and small enough to keep in your camera bag for any occasion.

Good for portraits especially when it’s the sunrise or it sets.
