Can’t beat the quality for the price. First lense I picked up with my switch to mirrorless and would do so again.

I purchased this lens to pair with my R5, when I don’t want or need to drag along my bigger RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L Lens. It does a great job and the size is perfect.

One of the most inexpensive lenses in the RF line, this is pretty much a no brainer to buy. It basically sees what the human eye sees, so those are the shots you can expect. Works great on my EOS R8.

I have had two different Canon EF 50mm lenses in the past. Both were great lenses for the money. This lens is even better! I am impressed with the detail this lens provides as well as the quickness and quietness of the focus motor. I really can't believe that there is a better lens for a better price.

It’s a good lens. It’s just not the quality I’d expect from a Canon product. The lens is functional and easy to use and attach to the camera.

The nifty 50. How anyone could ever live without this lens baffles me. I'm glad that Canon came out with an inexpensive standard prime lens to complement their new mirrorless series. I've been using mine primarily at f/8 and it is every bit as good or better than the EF equivalent.
