Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This lens is compact, lightweight and offers exceptional image quality, the manufacture and materials feel of very good quality, I have tried it on the R8 and R5 and the quality is amazing, the autofocus control and the configurable ring of the RF series are perfect, it does not include the hood but it is a relatively cheap and indispensable accessory.

Awesome bargain lens!

This lens is great for portrait photography and the aperture allows for lots of light to enter the sensor of your camera. Can’t recent to those looking for a cheap upgrade from their kit lens. Just keep in mind if you have a crop sensor camera to multiply the focal length by 1.6 which makes this approximately a 80mm lens.

The photos I'm including were taken with the Canon EOS R8 and this lens.
