This is one of the best lens purchases I've ever made. The price is so reasonable, the lens is so tiny, and the sharpness of the glass and quality is phenomenal. Whenever I use this lens the photos are excellent. I wish Canon made more of these reasonable lenses! Also, Best Buy shipped this right away and it came within just 2 days.

The MUST HAVE lens for RF mount shooters

This is everything I expected it to be. I had tge old EF version and I lived it but after upgrading my body to the R6 I felt it was easier to get the native mount to cut out the adapter. The lens produces nice clean images and gives nice bokeh for the price. 200.00 is a steal!

This 50mm lens has quickly become one of my most used lenses. The image quality is sharp, the background blur is beautiful, and it performs great in low light. It’s reliable, versatile, and honestly a staple in my camera bag now. Highly recommend!

    Nifty fifty!

The nifty fifty is the best cheap prime lens for portraits. Not as good as an L-series f/1.2 of course, but so much cheaper and more portable. This is a must-have for any casual shooter or hobbyist using a Canon R-series mirrorless camera.

I love this lens. Especially if you are new to the RF line and want to get some native lenses. This is the best option by far that every photographer should have in their bag. beautiful bokeh, light weight, low light capabilities.

Best investment of my life. As a starter photographer this is a great start with great results. If I can’t give one word to describe this lense would be “ Perfection “ … Run over and get you this lense you won’t be disappointed. I’m not a promoter just a person trying to start a business and this for me is a win.

Lightweight, sharp, good bokeh. Interacts well with the Canon R6. A relatively inexpensive "nifty fifty" and much lighter than the Tamron 45 mm. lens I have for my 5Diii, which I could use with the EF-RF adaptor. Happy so far.

The Canon RF 50 mm F1.8 STM Lens was the first lens I purchased for my R5 and I couldn’t have been happier with the performance and value it offers. It renders beautiful images out of my R5. I really like the snappy auto focus and light weight of the lens. It’s a great lens to start off with mirrorless and also a great backup if you already own the RF 50 1.2 USM. I highly recommend!

A lens that everyone needs to have

This is the cheapest lens for FR line of lens. It is similar to its EF version in most function but sell $75 dollars more. Every Canon shooter knows about EF version, and we know how it is like. The FR version is slightly better than the EF in macro, and sharpness. There are couple minor issues that bother me. First of all If you have LENS DRIVE WHEN AF IMPOSSIBLE turned on, it will hunt for focal point when you turn it on with lens cover. Secondly there is noticeable chromatic aberration on photo. However, this is the lens that everyone needs to have for spare lens.

It’s hard to get crazy bokeh for cheap and there’s nothing better than the nifty fifty aka 50 1.8 (made by literally all 4 camera brand giants). It does suffer from its issues mostly being chromatic aberration and softness at wide open but the bokeh is just *chefs kiss*. I always recommend this lens after a general zoom lens (18-55, 24-105, etc). You can’t go wrong for the price point.

The Canon RF 50mm lens is a must-have for any photography enthusiast! The image quality is absolutely stunning, with sharpness and clarity that bring your photos to life. The wide aperture allows for beautiful background blur and excellent low-light performance. It's a versatile lens that's perfect for portraits, street photography, and so much more. If you want a perfect starter lens into the RF glass then this is the choice. The nifty 50 gets it's well deserved attention as always! Perfect for portraits (photo & video)! If you could only buy one lens and get away with a lot from then the 50mm is the way to go. Can't beat the f/1.8 either. Just overall quality lens for the price.
