Didn’t get to play this on Wii U but this is a good game to play solo or co-op (which is a little more challenging in my opinion).
The puzzles get harder but not too hard where you can’t figure them out. Replay value comes from finding all 3 diamonds, a hidden objective and a hidden Pixel Toad in every level.
Not really much of a story but what do you expect. It’s Toad.

No one recommended me this game. Always been a Luigi and Toad fan due to getting bullied by the older cousins and couldnt be Mario. Seem this game, had a soft spot for Toad and been a very fun game.

Overall, Treasure Tracker is a real gem of a game. It’s also beautiful; I was stunned by it on Wii U, but the visuals have only gotten better on Switch. It’s bright, cheery, and wildly creative from an aesthetic standpoint. Each stage is like a diorama, making the game feel like the player is interacting with toys, rather than lines of code. The soundtrack isn’t especially varied, likely because most stages don’t require a lot of time to beat, but I’d have appreciated a few more tracks to spice things up.

While the controls are a little too complex at the moment (he's getting used to them though), finding the stars with him is a blast. I've played this game before on my wiiU and liked it so much I had to get it for the switch. Highly suggest if you enjoy fun puzzle games, definitely if you have a little gamer at home. Happy it's not the cost of a full price game either.

If you’ve played this on Wii U, then you may not want to spend money on the same game again with just a little content added. If you really love the game or get it on a good discount it’s still worth it to me. If you’ve never played it, then I highly recommend it. It’s not too hard for younger kids but still has a lot of extra things for more experienced players.

I played Captain Toad: Treasure Tracer on the Wii U and I really enjoyed it. The levels are quick and have a lot of fun little puzzles. The Switch version seemed to hold my attention for even longer and the addition of the Mario Odyssey bonus levels is great! I just wish they had kept the Super Mario 3D World levels as well. Overall a fun puzzle game for all ages.

It's a easy enough game to play for a 6 year old to enjoy with help from an adult. The character can be controlled by two joy sticks so that the adult can take over if the section of the game is too hard for the kid to control.
Overall I would recommend this product.
