This is such a fun game. It is basically an extension of Super Mario Odyssey.

Lightweight Puzzlers to Get Kids Thinking

Toad Tracker has been quite a hit in the house since we got it. Kids have been enjoying the game play and it's been forcing them to think about things differently. One of them particularly has been expanding her visual-spatial thinking with the game. Good for quick play if you just want to do a level or two and each section has plenty of different approaches to working through obstacles.

i loved the captain toad levels in Mario 3D world, so i bought this. There are like 80+ puzzles and they start to get tough.

It was great on the Wii U and even better with the added Mario Odyssey levels.

Although it hasn't been changed much from the Wii U original, Captain Toad feels perfectly suited for the Nintendo Switch.
It's an excellent game to pick up and play in short bursts for five minutes here and there, or to sit down for a couple hours and complete every single level 100% (and find Pixel Toad).
Definitely helps that it's cheaper ($40) than most other Switch games!

Captain Toad isn't the hardest game, by any stretch. This is NOT a Mario-style platformer but rather a game of exploration and puzzle-solving that's easy enough for kids but offers enough challenge to satisfy adults. The emphasis is on finding chests and solving its many puzzles. The 3D, rotatable aesthetic is really nice to look at and aids in solving puzzles, locating chests, etc.

I had previously purchased and played this game the first time around on the Wii U. I loved this game then, and I still love it now. The controls take a little getting used to since they changed a few things from the Wii U version, but overall the game is still a ton of fun to play! I play with my wife and young son, and we have a blast working our way through the puzzles again.

Didn’t get to play this on Wii U but this is a good game to play solo or co-op (which is a little more challenging in my opinion).
The puzzles get harder but not too hard where you can’t figure them out. Replay value comes from finding all 3 diamonds, a hidden objective and a hidden Pixel Toad in every level.
Not really much of a story but what do you expect. It’s Toad.

This Swutch port of the Wii U Toad’s Treasure Tracker allows for two player co-op throughout the entire game. Enjoyble reguardless, but much more fun with a friend.

Overall, Treasure Tracker is a real gem of a game. It’s also beautiful; I was stunned by it on Wii U, but the visuals have only gotten better on Switch. It’s bright, cheery, and wildly creative from an aesthetic standpoint. Each stage is like a diorama, making the game feel like the player is interacting with toys, rather than lines of code. The soundtrack isn’t especially varied, likely because most stages don’t require a lot of time to beat, but I’d have appreciated a few more tracks to spice things up.

While the controls are a little too complex at the moment (he's getting used to them though), finding the stars with him is a blast. I've played this game before on my wiiU and liked it so much I had to get it for the switch. Highly suggest if you enjoy fun puzzle games, definitely if you have a little gamer at home. Happy it's not the cost of a full price game either.
