The mechanics in Captain Toad are novel for a standalone game, but the fact that they're truly new gives it a unique advantage. Give it a shot at its discounted value; there are plenty of stages to keep anyone busy, the minds at Nintendo behind it all, and still enough challenge to have to revisit many of the stages to complete it 100%.

This game is a spinoff of sorts from Super Mario 3D World, where each world had a Captain Toad level to complete. To be blunt, this is basically a full game of nothing but levels like that and to be fair, stands up very well on its own. Charming, fun, and challenging at times...it's well worth the reduced price. Check it out!

With all the violent video games out there, I sometimes have a tough time finding appropriate and yet fun games for my son. This one is a true gem. It has adventure and mazes and will keep the kiddos smiling. Keeps this mom smiling, too. Fun game!

This is a excellent Wii U game for any Mario enthusiasts.

Did you enjoy the Captain Toad puzzles in Super Mario 3D World? Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is a full sized game packed with expanded puzzles. They may seem simple at first, but get a bit devilish when you're looking for all the secrets. The game has a super cute aesthetic about it, and girls may appreciate playing as Toadette.

Toad is very fun platformer its remind me Mario game it's very fun for families to play its a lot a lot of levels I think everybody has to play this game

This is a fun game to play but has its difficult parts

A simple game with a lot of free time play ability.

This game takes the Toad levels from Super Mario 3D World and makes a whole new adventure out of their mechanics. It's quite engaging and a nice break from the crazy action as Toad can't even jump! It shows off the gamepad in all it's glory too.

This game takes the puzzle minigames from Super Mario 3D World and makes a full game out of them. This includes boss battles, and themed levels that make the experience very enjoyable. There is enough new in this game that it makes the puzzles from 3D World look bland in comparison. And it can't be any better considering that I would pay the regular 60 for this game, but Nintendo decided to release it for only 40. This game is well worth the money. My only gripe is that you can't play 2-player, which is a shame since there are two different characters to play.

This is a great spatial reasoning puzzle game. My 4 year old daughter has a good challenge reaching the stars, while as a completionist I can come through after and get everything she missed. Fun for the family. Wish it was multi-player though.

My 5 year old son seems to enjoy it. It looks fun.

it's a good family friendly game with good graphics

When I picked up this game I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The reviews were pretty good and I've always enjoyed the Mario universe. Plus it was only $40, which trust me is a steal for this game! The puzzles are great, the controls are intuitive, and the characters are adorable. I played the first 10 levels with my buddy and he immediately went to purchase the game not even 15 minutes later. In my opinion this is a sleeper hit and sure to be a cult classic. Get it before it's gone! It's just another testament to how great a developer Nintendo still is.

Son loves the game Best Buy's price was reasonable

I play this game when I've had a long day at work and just want to unwind and focus on solving the problems. It's a fun game for me to get my mind off of things! Would definitely recommend this to help foster problem solving skills.

Did you like the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D? If you did, you'll love this game. If you didn't, well I'm not sure why you're here. Even if you didn't like it, this a much grander scale. So maybe you'll find more to like here.

This game is quite fun, with a nice gentle learning curve. I love games that challenge your mind and I'm very visually-spatially oriented, so this really played to my strengths. But whether it was my own competence or the game, I thought it was a little too easy and could use some action-y sequences.
