The NUVI would not go in to the case because of the mounting hardware that is permanently affixed to the back of the device.

The unit is 5 1/2" long X 3" high x 7/8" thick & does not fit the case good. The size of the case is good, the case is very flat & the back of my Garmin is angled & it bulges out the carrying case where if I ever bumped it in to something it might damage it. Unless your GPS is flat like a cell phone I do not reccomend it.
