Initially, I was excited about my new purchase. Assembly was done with ease but the nightmare of aligning the scope in daylight on a terrestrial object and a defective lens propelled me to return the scope. The transaction of returning the scope in person to Best Buy was another ordeal.

We love the telescope but noticed a little grease on the focus section and a few tiny, but maybe inconsequential, spots on the large reflector. Their only solution was for us to break it all down, pack it up, and then send back for warranty repair. A smaller camera or something like that is easy, but i'd have to take it to ups to have them pack it up properly as you can't send it back just in the telescope box it came in. Huge hassle. Plus we just starting using it regularly and now have to send it away for 2-3 weeks or longer.

Be careful! I bought this telescope and it was the wrong one in the box!!! Returned it to Best Buy with zero hassle and was able to re-purchase the right one. This telescope is great! Nothing better for a beginner except for the better tripod controls that come with the next up model. Totally recommend

Supposed to be for beginners however, I find it hard to use. Very frustrating!

This scope is an exercise in frustration. If you get one with the mirrors in alignment, I didn't, but knew how to collimate them, the mount becomes the issue. Pretty hard to see with everything shaking because the mount just won't stay still even in a light wind. Every time you touch it, off it goes. Scope is fine, but mount is not.

This telescope is marketed as using star tracking software and as allowing astrophotography...its why you would choose this over other models...and yet its main selling features dont work. 1) The software (which uses the camera) is out of date and does not currently work with no indication that they are attempting to update it. 2) Their photography apparatus to attach the phone does match the magnification of your eyepiece. Its akin to using the zoom on your camera. For that reason, Its main selling point, it is a hard pass.

The product is nicer than I thought, HOWEVER the scope does not work. I changed the battery abs checked the connection and it still does not work. Unfortunately I threw the box away

This telescope will collect dew and once it does the whole telescope is ruined. Contacted celestron to talk about a replacement they said since I bought it through BestBuy I’m unable to get support. William optics is the best choice in my book

Awful This is complete fraud. It does not work no matter how hard trying to make it work.

Came completely broken and dented. I tried to get another one but they were sold out. The lady at Best Buy where I went to return it was also not very nice

Absolute trash. Can't see a thing. Haven't been able to setup despite countless videos and instructions included. Absolutely would not recommend
