We bought an extra lense kit to see planets. we couldn’t believe the amount of detail seen. For the price this is an excellent beginner model. My 10yr old son is even able to set up and use on his own. Lightweight so easy to travel with.

Easy manual positioning and a red dot finder that works well. Manual slow motion controls are a bit rough but ok. Very Clear and bright images under lower power. Great for the Moon, brighter planets and even some deep sky Messier objects.

Bought a travel bag on amazon and took it to Yosemite with us and got to see a couple of shooting stars whiz through our sights. Precision adjustments, east side viewing, and nice app to aide in locating viewable points of interest

Only thing I wish is that it has something to stabilize the phone camera to look into the viewfinder for pictures

The red dot is easy to align. I haven't been able to auto align the smart phone, but I think it's due to trees and other obstructions. Crystal clear view of the moon. Still working on finding the planets.

The viewfinder does a great job of locating objects. Good views of the moon and definitely brightens up stars. Overall very fun to use. Not so good- Mount to stand is not reliable. Scope slid off stand while I was moving it and just barely caught it before it fell to the ground. Still having challenges getting the phone/camera to align and be truly useful for locating specific celestial objects (otherwise the app works well).

Easy navigation with the app that helps him find whatever he’s looking for in the sky. Had an initial issue with a code for an additional app they include but their tech team is super responsive and got it squared in no time.

Moon telescope not for planets

Great for viewing the moon with great detail, but the planets look like tiny dots even with the 2X barlow and the 10mm lens. No detail at all while viewing Mars. After focusing several times Mars looks like a fuzzy red pin of light. Originally had a $75 70mm travel refractor telescope and thought this would be a decent upgrade...it was not. Basically the same outcome when viewing planets. Save your money for a better telescope, unless all you really want to see is the moon. I'd say the best feature is the tripod. I'm 6ft so it was nice not having to slouch over to reach the eyepiece.

Thus is a good investment for me, very pleased with the performance and ease of use with this telescope. My sone and I have been having tons of fun exploring the night sky since this purchase.

This has incredible clarity and the App that is included directs you exactly to what you want to see. Removes all the guess work for those of us not very knowledgeable in astronomy. Highly recommended.
