After only a few months I noticed the coating on the basket has worn off from scrubbing food off. No response from company about what kind of metal is underneath. Very difficult to get food particles off, after all it is an air fryer, so no fat is used. I would soak for days before washing. So your choice is gross stuck on food particles or cooking on an unknown metal after coating comes off! Unacceptable!

Good cheap air fryer

After a couple of months, the button to open the drawer broke and it became difficult to open. The bottom of the frying basket also started to rust. Thankful I got the protection plan and got a different model.
