Without this, the service would not work. I gave three stars as it has lag sometimes or doesn’t connect at all and that doesn’t make me feel safe.

Finally just returned it and ordered regular chime online

Failed after a few months

I replaced it with a standard WiFi extender, much cheaper, and we didn't really need the chime function.
