Absolute trash
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ring makes you feel as though you need this device in order for that faulty gear to work. Coming from a home that runs 400mps this still doesn’t boost my signal for my doorbell

Reset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in efforts to make my door vidoe unit to work more effectively as I was always receiving a poor signal quality message on the Ring video app. Well the unit works intermittently and I'm having to reset at least once every other week.

Ok product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an okay product, if you don't have a doorbell chime in the home. Probably best for an apartment. Doesn't seemed to boost the wi-fi signal, but does alert if the ring app is not on all electronic devices.

Don't waste your money on this.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This broke almost exactly at a year of owning the device. Reading more of the reviews, this seems to be pretty much standard. Conveniently right outside of the warranty as well.

A JOKE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My place is a very small 886 sq. foot apt. condo. My router is in my bedroom which does not allow my ring doorbell 2 to receive a strong signal (74-75%). After setting up Chime Pro and getting a connection it did absolutely nothing to strengthen the Ring Doorbell 2. The Chime Pro itself was only at 62-65% reception. I always find it frustrating when things you buy don’t work as they claim they’re suppose to. This is going back, BUYER BEWARE.

Not so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This does not work plain and simple. I could never get it to connect to my devices. Only way to fix the issue was to install better wi-fi (100 mbps)

Sucks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I had 4 thumbs that’s what I would give.Made my WiFi signal to the door bells 2x worse. Maybe a faulty device but wasn’t impressed not 1 but.

Not what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this because my Ring doorbell had a weak signal, thought it would boost the signal. Instead you have to connect to the WiFi chime network and it is even worse than using my router.

No significant difference
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too bad we had to buy this device for the Ring. It should of been included in the original purchase OR Ring should of sent a discount code for their customers.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I feel like this extender was hurting my wifi more than it was helping it. I followed all instructions but it made my wifi worse.

Posted .Hi rask8er2009,
The Chime Pro can be a great tool to help extend the wifi signal from your router to your Ring device, so I can understand why this is important to you that the device improves your network. The Chime Pro works as any other wifi device and needs to be within a certain range of the router, to provide its own solid signal. For the initial setup of the Chime Pro, place it within a 20-foot radius of your router to ensure a successful setup. Once the unit is set up, move your Chime Pro halfway between the router and the Ring device.
If you have successfully connected the Chime Pro to the Ring device you wish to assist, then you may want to try moving the Chime Pro to another location for a more optimal signal. You can also check the strength of your wifi signal called RSSI. An optimal connection is between -60 and 0. The RSSI signal strength can be found on the Device Health page of the Chime Pro. You can find more about how to locate your Device Health Page here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001757766-Understanding-Your-Ring-Device-s-Device-Health-Page
