Decent Chime
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The chime works just like the cheaper version, but this one is a repeater for the network to connect other Ring devices. I tried using it to connect my floodlight cam, but it seemed to lose connection a lot and didn't seem to provide a fast enough connection to keep up with the video. I ended up just using the WiFi from my Orbi to connect all the devices. I would recommend getting the cheaper version and doing the same.

Just a weak range extender

It connects to a RING camera just outside the garage door, and the signal at the camera is weak. It is nice that you can program it to match the ring tones / alerts you set up on the RING app.

I got my backporch cam from about a -75 reading in the Ring app to a -55, with no more warning message about weak wifi. We didn't really need the chime functionality, as we have an Echo Show, but that is just an added bonus.
