And my luck, it settled in the "wonky" position, instead of level, for all you OCD people out there. Straight shot (less than 15' from Ring Doorbell, no interior walls for interference, just the exterior wall, which has a big glass door) and directly under the the wifi router itself (on the first floor, router on 2nd) and I was still getting a 'signal too poor' from Doorbell. Ring people suggested I use 2. I ended up using a standard network router (more costly, which is why I considered the Chime in the first place). At least it has the added bonus of also extended the whole wifi network to all devices, unlike the Chime which just extends to the Ring doorbell. I returned it. Love the Ring Doorbell and Security Camera, not the Chime Pro.

It has prevented blurry interruptions on my ring device, but I'm not sure at this time if my issues are with the actual ring product or the chime. I'll still recommend it, because my problem may not be your problem.

I cannot tell entirely if it is helping with reception, but it makes the device a lot more like a regular doorbell (not having to rely entirely on a smartphone). And, being an electronic one, you can choose different ringers. :-) Installing and configuring it was very easy...
