    Definately NOT the old GNR

I have been a GNR fan forever and I think this album sucks. The lyrics don't make any sense. Half the time it doesn't even sound like Axl singing. I can't believe we waited all these years for this. I think it's time for Axl to give it up.

Very generic rock. None of the emotion and fire of previous. Of the songs on the cd only 1 of them was worth listening to more then once. I would wait and find a site streaming the cd to listen before wasting any money on this one.

    Not Worth The Wait

The question has been answered - and everyone was wrong. The People' Republic of China did not officially become a democratic nation prior to the release of Axl Rose's first full length album of new material in 17 years. With a budget that ultimately rivaled the one for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Axl and his hired help have created a record filled with all of the goodies Axl could want, none of which were apparently interesting music or vocals. I don't even know where I'm going with this, but I'm going back to listen to Appetitie for Destruction and crying myself to sleep.

Umm... the people who gave it "good" and "outstanding" reviews must either be Best Buy employees told to do so, or people made up by the record company. Let me just tell you, this is NOT a true GnR album. The only person from the original band is Axl Rose, and his voice no matter how many times you process it through a machine, is just awful this time around. There is no Dizzy, Slash, of Duff here. The guitar riffs are provided by Buckethead (and why he did this he such a talented performer).

I had my hopes set way too high for this CD. Crash and burn. I don't think I'll be playing this in any rotation at all. Awful.

Judging on how bad these songs are...I too would be hesitant to release them. This is just a bad cd. The songs sound dated and generic. The "Sound" is lost. Most will say that this is the NEW GNR. Really? Was Audio Slave the new Soundgarden? Didn't think so. Just goes to prove that Axl needs Slash more than Slash needs Axl.

This has to be one of the worst albums i have ever heard, this album is lacking the power of the original "G N R",None of the songs stand out. It sounds as if AXL just threw together songs, without actually listening to it....and his vocals are horrible!!!.

Just listened to this album TWICE!!! I really wanted to believe it was going to be great, but it isn't. It sounded like NIN with Boy-band drum beats and Axl just wailing incoherently over top of it. Do yourself a favor and get Death Magnetic instead.

Wow. Now hopefully they can start all over again. This is the equivalent of a basketball team letting all their good players go and the GMs try to rebuild the team with draft picks. It's still the same team but it's not the same basketball.

Last proper G'n'R album was the UYI-I/II duet (which, btw, wasn't that goo at all). So, this is not G'n'R. This is the sound of Axl spending $1 million per year to make an overhyped album. Won't definitely meet the expectations.

Don't waste your money and time. It's just not GNR. The closest thing: seek out Izzy Stradlin's music collection or look forward to Duff's new Loaded album. At least they still know how to rock. This CD is just miserable.

I am a hard core GnR fan. This is not GnR. This mix is meant for ppl who like to slow dance, holds hands and look at stars. Bad purchase on my part. If you like the old GnR, stay away from this one. Waste of money.

We waited 17 years for this? I guess it goes to show just how much Slash, Duff and the rest of the band really meant to the music. Axl just proved he is nothing without the originals.

If you like high pitched Axl this is the album for you! Axl sings high pitched in most of the songs. It's horrible!
