The Carpenters Christmas Portrait CD is a Christmas classic that will always stand the test of time. Karen's beautiful vocals and Richards wonderful arrangements of holiday standards will always be a part of my family's Christmas celebrations.

Takes me right back to my childhood! Love it! The Carpenters were one of a kind, and this album demonstrates their true talent!

Loved the Carpenters when I was younger. My daughter was also a big fan. Much fun listening to them again.

Christmas is not Christmas without this album. It is a required to make Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner.

Christmas Portrait - CD is a nice cd for the holidays

This classic Christmas album has something for everyone, and performed by the 20th century's quintissential voice. Karen and Richard deliver holiday music-traditional, secular & 'religious'-on an album you can listen to over & over and never tire of it. It is loosely based on the classic Spike Jones Christmas album from the 50's, and has both well-known and obscure titles. Their now-classic 'Merry Christmas, Darling' and songs like 'The Christmas Song', 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' and the lesser known Gounod version of 'Ave Maria' are breathtaking in their warmth and ability to give you goose bumps from the first notes. '(There'sNo Place Like) Home For The Holidays' is pure joy, and you may just sing along! Say what you will about their MOR heritage-this Christmas album is a must-have for creating that festive holiday feeling.

I enjoy this cd often. I think it is great. It was in excellent condition too.

The best Christmas CD ever. It is not a collection of Christmas songs per se, but a continuous band of highly orchestrated and blended songs which form a wonderful soundtrack to any Christmas gathering, highlighted by Karen's soaring vocals in front of her brother Richard's great arranging. Absolutely Fabulous!

The Carpenters. Karen Carpenter. She was the best and this is the first CD I have bought in years. I wore out my original CD so I had to replace it.... Only thing I listen to from Thanksgiving to Christmas...

My family has had this cd through the years but it came up missing this holiday season. So the only thing to was to get this ordered asap!! All is well once again. Karen sings great as always.

Being from Downey I take pride in how timeless the Carpenters have become. Their heavenly harmonies are all the more touching after Karens passing. A must own masterpiece.
