Does more than you'd expect but less than you want. Mostly, it doesn't automatically change the source when it turns the TV on, so you have to use the other remote.

I would definitely rate the AppleTV at the bottom and this one at the top, at least for my use(s). No noted issues so far and as we recently cancelled DirecTV and signed up for YouTubeTV, this integrates nicely with the YouTubeTV. The operation is smooth, clear and straightforward. This is actually the second one we have purchased as we initially pre-ordered a blue-colored one directly from Google.

Works great overall and like it better than apple tv and the amazon fire tv stick. I've had to change the batteries twice in the past year which rarely happened with fire tv stick or apple tv remotes but not a big deal. Love being able to stream google stadia from it. Only issue we have noticed is that particularly with some movies on Disney+ the sound will cut out randomly from time to time. I'm not sure if this is how those movies are encoded and might be conflicting with the audio settings I've utilized in the device settings but is only an issue with some movies on this app.

Posted .Hi dongletrunk, thanks for sharing your feedback and we appreciate that you like the Chromecast with Google TV. We’re sorry to hear that you've changed the batteries twice in the past year already, and that you’re having issues with some movies on your app.
If the audio issue is particular with Disney+ only, we suggest clearing the app cache that might help as having a sizable amount of cache stored, would affect the performance of your Chromecast.. See the steps below:
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
- If you can't find it, select See all apps.
- Select Clear cache and then Ok.
- If clearing the app cache didn't work, you can try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following this step by step guide here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654
Also, the batteries of the Voice Remote are expected to last for about 6 months with normal use, but also depends on your daily activities.
