As with many others, Chuck Berry is one of the reasons I picked up a guitar. His influence in rock 'n' roll and pop culture can never be overstated. That said, I wasn't crazy about the entire album. I love Chuck Berry, and it pains me to say anything negative (I'm sure others will disagree- that's cool). "Chuck" definitely has some high points (check out the infectious Big Boys!). Unfortunately for me (in my humble opinion), there weren't enough to carry a full album's worth of material. I would still recommend this album to fans or anyone familiar with his music (how could anyone not be?). For the few newbies and unindoctrinated, I would first recommend a greatest hits collection, and learn how this legend had made such a lasting impact in American music/culture..

I wanted to pick this up as it was the last thing Chuck was working on before he passed away. There are several songs that sound like the classic Chuck Berry. Others... well they didn't do it for me, so it was kind of a mix, but if you are a Chuck Berry fan you should pick this up.

Best release from Berry since Chess days. While the writing is not on par with his hits from the 50s & 60s, the overall sound is good & there are a couple of interesting covers.

Chuck Berry's final recording is a bit of a bummer, with a lot of songs that sound like retreads of some of his classics. I had hoped for better.

I bought this just because it was something new from a legend. It's worth a listen but doesn't compare to his early works.

This is Chuck Berry's final release. This collection of new songs is good but not the greatest. Definitely recommend it for fans.

Not as good as his early stuff, but that's about an impossible feat. Mostly good album with a couple of misses. RIP Chuck

good cd, but not great. obviously old tapes that were finished by his son.
