Fun French fry from France’s famous fried Freedle fries

No spoilers here but the story takes a turn that took me out of the experience. Everything else starting with the combat is a 10/10.

I preordered my copy, never got my email $10 gift, and when I picked it up, the physical art on the copy was literally ripped and it looked like it was soaked in water… Dude this review will fall on deph ears but Ima preorder elsewhere going forward (been preordering here for 6+ yrs, but who cares).

I won't talk about the story to avoid spoilers, but I love the mechanics of this game as much as I love the story. If you like turn-based RPGs, check it out. -There is an auto-save feature, but no manual save. -The game world is beautiful. -The soundtrack is also pretty amazing. -The game is stable. Haven't run into any game-breaking bugs or crashing. -There are three difficulties, and none of the trophies are tied to difficulty. I did find that the easiest setting was too easy. I didn't have to engage in some of the aspects of combat until I cranked it up. -Combat is turn-based and you can see the turn order at the side, so you can plan accordingly. -Certain skills have button prompts to increase their strength. Reminds me a lot of the old Shadow Hearts games. -You can also dodge, parry, or jump over the attacks of enemies. Dodge is easier, but parrying can lead to counter-attacks, jumping can only be used for certain enemy attacks and you can counter if you are quick enough. -Each party member has a unique weapon and play-style that goes along with that. -There is equipment that you can learn skills from, kinda like Final Fantasy 9. Lots of ways to customize to your playstyle. -Weapons use a system that reminds me of Elden Ring, where certain weapons are stronger depending on how your customize your attributes. -Also similar to a Soulsborne games, you find camps you can rest at to reset the enemies you have defeated. -You have healing items, these are restocked at the flags you can use to re-spawn enemies. You can upgrade the quantity and strength by finding items in the game world. -There is a nice, big game world to explore and you don't have to follow the story right away if you would rather explore first. -The game world is not too big. It feels full. I don't like it when games have a huge game world and don't have enough content to fill it up and so much it just wasted space. I think that is it. Thanks!

I bought Clair Obscur Expedition 33 digital deluxe edition through the ps store and let me tell you, This game does not disappoint. It’s extremely well done from the gameplay to the music is just an unforgettable experience. This game is something special and deserves recognition, I really hope it wins goty for 2025. Hats off to the devs on an excellent job because you can tell they were very passionate about their game. This game is truly a masterpiece ! Please support this game and the devs behind it.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is stunning from the moment it starts — the art, atmosphere, and music are absolutely beautiful. Combat is fast-paced for a turn-based system, with timing-based actions that keep you engaged. The story hits hard without being overly dramatic, and the voice acting and soundtrack are top-tier. You can tell the developers at Sandfall put real care into every detail. It’s emotional, polished, and full of soul — something rare in modern RPGs. “We fight not for ourselves, but for the ones who come tomorrow.” That line says it all. 10/10 — Beautiful, heartfelt, unforgettable.

Easily one of the best games that have come out in the past 5 years. Super engaging story, characters, and the combat feels so good.

I am normally someone that does not like turn based combat, but this game changed my mind. The combat is absolutely amazing and there are so many different ways to build your team. The lore, story, and world are also just as amazing! I can definitely say this will be a GOTY contender and may even win!

So i pre-order a copy 5 weeks ago, only now to be told my game is delayed. And if they don't ship me a game by May 6 they will cancel my order and refund my money....... Whats the point of a pre order than? Not only yhat i miss out on the $10 gift card with thr purchase of this game as well... I'll take my business to Amazon next time .......Take this L Best buy.....
