Great game love every minute so far. Bought two by mistake when rushing to order. Was going to return the other copy and some at BJ’s was helping me put groceries in my car and saw the game and was telling me how much he loved watching his friend play. He had not purchased yet because he want to buy thing for his new place first. We talked about the music and the game. I gave him the copy, it saved me a trip and I know he is enjoying it. Interesting how simple things can bring people together.

The main appeal is that it divorces JRPG storytelling from the JRPG gameplay, and this is arguably its greatest strength as it allows for a much more mature story with adult characters to be told. Paired with its QTE and Parry systems, it makes a wonderful package.

A breath taking journey of hope, determination, and the drive to create a future bright with the light of possibility. This game is a work of art from the story all the way to the tiniest of details. More than worth it.

Sandfall Interactive's debut outing is an absolute treat for both long time fans of the RPG genre and newcomers alike. By packing the traditional turn based combat with active elements they've upped the pace and engagement from the player. Then by relying on the star power and skill of some fantastic actors to tell their story they gain general appeal to a wider audience and great performances.

Fantastic RPG that will get you busy for over 40 hours

This is a fantastic game that is heavily inspired by your favorite turn based RPGs. It’s Final Fantasy meets Sekiro in France. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the overworld and lack of map.

Was super easy to just grab it and buy it off the floor, price was on par with everyone else too. Super happy with the purchase

Really love the graphics, the storyline, and gosh, the soundtrack is amazing. I’ve seen Xqc playing it and had to play it myself!! Highly recommend!!

This is a very good game. You play it, and it's fun.

First things first, this is a turn-based RPG from a French developer who took what they loved about JRPGs and turned it something pretty special. If you're into JRPGs, then you may end up liking this. However, it is worth nothing that this game is not easy. I beat the game on normal difficulty, but I did test it out on easy to see the differences and it honestly felt like it didn't do much. This is especially true with the parry and dodge mechanic in this game. The timing for parries and dodging can be pretty tight, and the game kind of expects you to learn how to do them. There are skills that reward you for taking damage, but I don't think they are available at the start. So, yea, please be sure to keep this in mind. That being said, this is a great game. It's not my game of the year, but it's definitely going to be a strong contender for many others.

This game is easily in my top 5. It was an incredible experience, It took bits and pieces of the series we've loved and created something spectacular, a true masterpiece. The music, combat, story, and journey should be experienced by everyone.

yes, it's as good as everyone says it is. i loved every minute i had with this game. i laughed, i cried. extremely fun combat, FANTASTIC music, great return to linear levels/a navigable overworld ala pre-FF10 final fantasy games. characters were complex and loveable, environments were beautiful, enemies were interesting. not a super long game, but long enough. incredible metanarrative on what fiction and reality can mean to us. absolute masterpiece.

I've played quite a few open world RPGs in my life, including Zelda and Final Fantasy. Expedition 33 breathes new life into the entire genre, and shows that passion has been poured into every aspect of the game, including story, gameplay, and music. Two of my favorite aspects of this game are its punchy battle system and animations, and the new take on over world design and interactions. I hope the gaming industry can take inspiration from this beautiful game and stop being afraid to experiment with new ideas.

Incredible game. Amazing turn based combat, story, and soundtrack. Games like this come don't come around often. If Expedition 33 doesn't win multiple game of the year awards, I'll be truly schocked. Don't pass on this game.
