This movie is very good. When they said what was that I was thinking same thing I mean this movie is the best, the drector made us thinking it really happing, with the camara jumping up and down.. Man this movie very awsome and scary and when the end comes it makes you think they going make it. Then I saw them under a bridge because the helicopter crashed, and they saying who they are and goes black, it makes you think what happen did they live or die. It a great movie and very worth the money you won't be disappointed....

I really liked this movie minus the constant camera movement, They kind of over did that throughout the whole movie too. It's a great move if you can put up with that shakey camera action. The plot was very good, very interesting movie with plenty of action.

This movie was highly anticipated because of the secrecy surrounding it before it's release. Personally it was worth it, I loved this movie, I'm not into horror movies and anyone who classifies this as horror is confused. This movie is a monster movie, lots of action and a good deal of suspenseful scenes. The whole movie is filmed on handheld camera and a lot of people hated it but I thought it worked perfectly and I liked it, overall this movie was something different and I loved it.

All and all the movie wasn't that bad. If you didn't like the Blair Witch Project, then chances are that you won't like this one either. I don't remember the movie being trailered as this type of movie when I saw the preview. The movie theme itself I thought was great but would have enjoyed it more through your typical camera angle. I was okay with the video taping of the party, but when it continued throughout the entire movie, I found it annoying and I hoped the battery would run out or the camera would get smashed so we could view it normally. If you like this type of movie, then you'll enjoy this one. It is suspenseful and you experience what they are. I just found it distracting from the movie.

This was a really action packed and exciting movie. I have only one bad thing to say, is that while I was watching it I started to feel sick. It is a little hard to watch when it is through the lens of a video camera (the way they want you to see it).

A very straight foward, does NOT let you off the ride when it starts monster movie that went for the "Blair Witch Project" take of less is seen to keep you going until the end. If YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THE VERY END! (Spoiler Hint!) If you wish you could have a "Godzilla" movie the way it was meant to be made, but without the cheesyness of those movies made, you will love this movie! Also, if you could get past the soap opera sap, you will enjoy it also!

The actors blended well with the special effects made this movie come to life.But the problem with the movie is the very shaky camera that really can't time it's performance accurately enough.You missed certain angles so they keep trying different shots. Like in the electronic store he's shooting the camera at the t.v. for the best shot.And he doesn't know how to work some of it's features like lighting,night vision.Good thing there was someone with him who knew those things.The plot could have been better than the guy going back for his girlfriend.But at the end of the movie when there at the carnival something crash lands in the water in the background.

I loved this film in theaters, and now I get to watch it as many times as I want. If you liked it in theaters the DVD is great because it has several behind the scenes extras and Best Buy also threw in another disc of extras.

This movie right from the start set the tone as something different, going with the first person camera view. The reactions from people where pretty realistic as to what people would do in real life if this happened. This non-stop ride keeps you on edge till the very end, this is what a Godzilla movie should have been, however I am pretty impressed with this movie and if they can continue the story I think a sequel is warranted.

This movie most definitely met my expectations! It's basically a modern day godzilla concept movie only with much, MUCH better effects, and story-line. If you like action packed, thrillers, this is the movie for you. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way it ended. Of course, I'm not going to spoil it so you will just have to buy it and see what happens for yourself! You will not be sorry.

This movie had lots and lots of action that kept you on your toes. Most people thought it was some horror movie gone wrong. Actually turned out to be a pretty good movie. Can't wait for the sequel.

By far one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Didn't like the unsteady camera at first, but it only makes it better and don't think I would have liked it any other way. Great acting, some humor, no rediculous far fetched things happened. Overall I think the movies was about as realistic as you can get right now if there were an event such as what takes place happening.

First time you watch this movie your going to be in suspence. I love how this movie is so different, the actors where great. I just had to buy this DVD and have it - liked the ending-HA!

Cloverfield is a movie from the brain of J.J.Abrams that isn't your typical sci-fi or action movie. Great camera work that puts you in the movie helps you feel the emotion of the characters in the scenes. Couple that with fantastic special effects and you've got a movie that grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go until it's over. Well worth the purchase!

Reminded me of the Blair Witch Project. I do not mind the shaky came, it gives the reality feel to the movie. This story was not meant for answers to why or where the monster came from or if how and when we stopped it. It was to tell/show the story of mainly four friends trying to survive the disaster at hand. I would like to give it three stars, but could not due to the long and drawn out scenes leading to the first explosion. I get that we needed to get to know the characters, but in my opinion it took way too long.

This is a great movie, especially if you like those monster movies back in the day (King Kong, Godzilla). The handle-held shots could give you a headache, but it goes with the flow of the movie. I like the way you don't get a chance to see the monster until the middle of the movie

As far as giant monster movies go, this one is pretty good.Blu-ray looks and sounds really nice.

I saw this movie with my son. I felt a little sick afterward, because of the camcorder. It was an interesting movie though.

Fairly good movie. Takes a while until you actually get to see the creature attacking the city but overall a good movie!!

Not a lot of plot in this one, but still an entertaining monster movie with pretty good special effects.
