This blew away my expectations - which were very high due to the viral marketing. Excellent movie, incredibly intense and well acted. The monster is just a drop back for incredibly believable acting and a love story at heart. SEE THIS MOVIE. Abrams is a genius.

The movie had alot of action, but the shaky camera shots. You get use to it after a while though and don't really notice it anymore, maily because you are more focused on figuring out what the heck is going on! But the problem is you never find out what is going on in the movie, yea you know that they are creatures, but that is it! There is never any explanation about what they are, were they came from or why they came! And to top it off there is no ending to this movie whatsoever, the movie just stops! It was almost like they ran out of film or they got through the movie and forgot to give it an ending, and then just left it like that! You knew about as much about what was happening in the beginning of the movie as you did when ended unannounced! This was a very big let down! The previews made it look like a great action packed SC-FI movie which it was except they forgot to tell you in the commercials that there was no ending! Don't Make the Mistake that I Did! DON'T BUY THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cloverfield 2 is coming out and when I saw the trailer I was like "I haven't seen that movie yet," so this was a movie I had to see and if you enjoy horror/sci fi movies you will definitely enjoy this.

Forget the fact that this entire move is shot by an amateur cameraman while running/jumping/diving/climbing his way around New York City, that fact is well known by now. The movie carries on in such a way where you are forced to believe that the "disturbance" is following the main characters. It amazed me that time after time, no matter where they went in a city the size of New York that the "disturbance" was there to meet them. I was also forced to believe a person can not only survive being impaled through the chest, having the object that impaled them removed and have the gaping wound only leave a small blood stain on her tight shirt but also that within minutes she'll be up and running around. Later she and her friends will survive a crash that personel in safety equipment will perish in. This movie was awful. If you don't mind it being implied that you are stupid enough to believe everything that this movie asks you to believe...feel free to waste your money.

Good movie to watch at home with a loved one. Best part was the apartment building scene, LOL!

Cloverfield is one of the best movies ive ever seen the plot is great and it seems super realistic with the home made cinematography effect and now its in great blu ray quality definatley buy this movie!!!!!!!!!!

This was a very good movie but the ending was terrible. I kept on thinking that the screen would come back and there would be more.

Package was resealed and the digital code was already used. Other than that both discs were in the cartridge and played fine

The movie was a very slow progressing plot line just letting you wait to see what is really going to happen... And then you just keep waiting. It was based on a real perspective but could have been portrated with better cinamatography to keep the viewer interested.

Excellent found-footage film -- great effects and great cast -- recommended!

it's not the scariest movie and it's sorta like the Blair Witch Project, the camera is always moving but it will probably be a good addition to your collection as it will most likely be collectible someday.

Chilling movie. Never knew what would happen next. Really kept me on the edge of my seat.

JJ Abrams produced this movie and he always has a great story behind it.

Blu-ray played well. Excellent movie. Great action. Very realistic effects.

Had heard it was good, got the BR to see for myself. It was OK, not good or great. Must have been in the clearance bin for a good reason. :-)

all in all a decent movie in and of it's self. But as a blu-ray disk.. pretty weak. I was expecting more for nearly three times the cost of the dvd.

the whole movie was kind of boring and then the ending was one those endings where you feel like you want to throw the remote controler at the tv.
