The RAD 480i is one of our top sellers, and we have many happy customers.As a note, your RAD 480i offers false-alert filtering that automatically reduces false alerts from moving In-Vehicle Technology sources such as collision avoidance systems and adaptive cruise control, automatic door openers, and traffic flow monitoring systems. To help reduce false alerts, please consider adjusting your sensitivity. You can adjust your detector's sensitivity to driving environment, reducing false alerts. Also works great in city driving, has multiple alerts to differentiate emergency vehicles from police and red light cameras. Definitely recommend

It has came in handy for him and enjoys it! Only thing I don’t like is how load it is! (Not really a bad thing) but I get annoyed when I’m in his truck!

Pros: has an app that connects to the detector and tells you the speed limit and your current speed Cons: does not automatically connect to Bluetooth, you have to open the app and wait for it to pair every time

Good for the price; the range isn’t so nice.

Posted .Thank you for your question. Radar detectors are illegal in Virginia and Washington, D.C., but this law does not apply to dash cameras. The SC 220C offers shared and community radar alerts through our Drive Smarter app, and you have the option to disable these alerts if you wish.
