I had a chance to try this detector out on a 6 hour round trip drive between PA and NY. The detector did pick up numerous K band signals (I didn't bother to use X band), all of which turned out to be false alarms. The problem is that many newer cars have proximity sensors which constantly trigger the radar detector and make it impossible to detect police radars. So, I returned it and will be relying on Waze for police information.

Sounds like a 80 year old lady with throat cancer :( also alarms even when the wind blows .... very annoying when you have a migraine.
