Posted .Please be aware that police do not always transmit radar and laser. It will only alert to police when they are transmitting. For maximum detection performance be sure the detector is mounted level with a clear view of the road ahead.

Posted .Using medium or low SEN modes will reduce false alerts. Repeatedly press the SEN button to cycle through all of the SEN modes. Be aware that police do not always transmit radar and laser. It will only alert when they are transmitting radar or laser.

Posted .For maximum performance, make sure RAD 480i is mounted low and level on your windshield with a clear view of the road. To reduce false alerts, use medium or low SEN modes. If using the iRadar app with RAD 480i, use Auto SEN mode which automatically changes the SEN mode based on your speed.

For the price I paid for it this little beauty sure did its job to the tee. I did however return it back to the store though. Nothing wrong with it and its abilities on the highways and such. I found out for myself I needed a little bit more of a higher end detection device to try and keep me from getting another speeding ticket. But for anyone who speeds around town and things like that this baby is perrrrrrrfect for just that. It picks up on whatever Jonny Law throws at you in time to hit the binders and to cruise by at the posted speed limit .So if your a little tight on cash but want some protection on the3 road then this ones the one for you.

For better false alert filtering, try using Medium or Low SEN modes. If using the iRadar app with RAD 480i, use Auto SEN mode for automatic SEN mode switching depending on your speed.

I purchased mine in October of 2020 and it still works great today. The screen is very easy to read but the voice prompts can be difficult to hear with the windows down. Alerts are loud and easily heard over all kinds of noise. The sensitivity could be better as it doesn’t give you a tremendous amount of time to react. My biggest complaint is the number of false alarms. There are way too many and they get extremely annoying over time. Otherwise, this is a pretty solid radar detector.
