False alerts have been reduced, most of the time when it alerts I can spot the cause and it gives plenty of forewarning. I found a review online comparing this one to a higher priced one and the reviewer (who is not a Cobra fan) was really impressed by this one.

Only thing is after using it for months it's started to filter out less false alerts. The distance that it picks up is really good but not quite as good as the more expensive escort which is expected since the price is so much lower than an escort.

8th month review RAD700I speaker issue

Has saved me a ticket numerous times. Value seems fair. At 8 months the speaker stopped working. It’s basically useless because I can’t watch the tiny screen haulin down the road. I hope the 1 year warranty works out for me. Like it but very unhappy at the moment.

I have traveled over 2000 miles in the past month and have came up on a couple state troopers and I was over the speed limit. Needless to say it saved me.

Great detector
