Radar didn't alert me before getting pulled over. Didn't do its job.

It's a hit or miss. One day it works, the next it does not.

It always beeped for no reason and I had it for one week and it stopped working and I cold never get it to stay in one place it would always fall off the window

The radar malfunctioned and it kept alarming no matter what setting it was on. It did not alarm when needed until you were right on the radar signal. Awful

I had owned a Cobra brand radar detector for many years until it went wonky and started signalling bands for no reason. However, it worked and saved me from tickets for a solid 3-4 years. This new Cobra radar detector is even better and has saved me from at least 5 tickets in the past few months. This was definitely the way to go, instead of getting the Passport which cost twice as much.

Honestly it works for what it's meant for simple as that. Every time I'm in a hurry, and I'm not endangering anyone I used this piece of gear. So if traffic is all going 10 above the speed limit I can feel assured I won't be pulled over. Simple as that. I've been using it for two months now and I admit I had moments where I'm not paying attention to my speed and as soon as my detector goes off I look down and notice I'm speeding. The only situation I've come across where I can criticize the piece of gear is the safety feature. The safety alarm has gone off with no safety vehicle any where near me. I had a 360 degree view around the car and didn't see anything around me. This is obviously important since safety vehicles such as ambulances and firetrucks need drivers to make way for them. This honestly has probably saved me hundreds of dollars of possible tickets. Buy it, especially for the price.

Has save me a few possible run ins .... a few false alarms. I am still learning some of the signal sounds. The speed warning signs that flash your speed also give an alert .. I would recommend this as a budget alert device. good value

Seems to work fairly accurately. Definitely use city mode to avoid picking up noise from stores.

Doesn't eliminate false alerts. Doesn't show you where the threat is coming from, but price wise you really can't complain it does get the job done.

This detector replaced a previous, comparatively priced Cobra radar detector. I was very pleased with the last one, worked great and lasted 10 years till the screen went dim and alerts went silent. So I decided to stick with Cobra and bought this one. It doesn not appear to be filtered nearly as well as the last model. It went off constantly, probably ev 1/4 - 1/2 mile on a drive last night that was probably 1.5 hr long, mostly freeway. I had it in the city mode, as I did with the previous to help keep down extraneous alerts but this thing went off non-stop. Even the safety alert kept going off. Much of the drive was done on a stretch that was a previous commute and the old detector never went off near as much. Coupled with no included instructions, taking it back after only 2 days and buying another brand.
