Junk. This is my second SC-200D, returned the first one for the same issues. Does not record! Turn on the car, it might or might not start recording. If it isn't recording, reset the camera might work...who knows. Half the time it will say SD card not inserted, it is, and I've tried multiple SD cards with the same issue. "Cobra" used to make some really nice products, not so much on this one.

Looks like others have have had the sd card issue as well. Mine did not fully manifest until after the first year so I’m out of luck. Keep getting for at sd card message. O formatted the card and was ok for a Little bit. Got another format sd card message. Replaced the card. Issue persisted. Now I have a a paper weight on my dash.

Great dash cam it has great resolution great memory but need to get a bigger one after having my dash cam no incidents happened

So far this Dash Camera is Great! It shows front & back cameras, and a nice sized screen compared to other units. It even detects Police Radar!

I like that it came with both a front view and a rear view camera The cords are really long so that might work for people with longer vehicles but we have a lot of extra wire which isn't a bad thing as long as you keep it organized and it also came with its own SD card so for the price I think it was a pretty good buy

Works great. Easy to install, and nice sleek look.

We bought two. One for a car one for a truck. The one in thw truck has had no issues and works great. The one in the car goes black and/or glitchy and flashes when it gets too hot when it is left on the windsheild on hot days.

I purchased this camera on Black Friday at the advice of a sales associate. I took it back because it wasn’t what I was looking for. I wanted a front facing camera and cabin. This just records front and rear, not inside the car.

So it took about 2 hours to install with Best Buy. Requested rear camera placed in a certain area and it was placed there perfectly. Must download the app from Cobra to connect Phone to Device. That was easy. Don't forget to buy a 256gig MicroSD for maximum recording.

When you plug in the back camera it stops recording in the qhd for both the front and back cameras and only allows HD. The maximum micro sd card size it allows is 128gig which means it does not store as much video as would be wanted for road trips especilly if you want to review it later. We bought the camera april 2024. And the camera fully stopped working this month june 2025. So i got just over a year before it died, ofcourse 2 months after the warranty expired. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMERA.

App does not work too great. It feels very clunky. Wire runs rampant and it just doesn't seem a good fit

Setup mostly easy to install. Had some issues with connecting to my phone.

I like the dashcam as a safety feature after being involved in a hit and run accident. The owners manual and online FAQs are worthless. It dings, beeps, and other warnings sounds that i have no clue what they mean.

Despite having built in WiFi and an app, this device and the ability to review the videos from the app only work if you are near the device. If the device is in the vehicle, despite it being on and charged, and you are in another location, you are unable to see any videos on the app. You have to be in the vicinity of the device to utilize the app feature. This is deceiving. When looking for a device to purchase for a fleet of vehicles I manage, I told a Best Buy representative the capabilities I was looking for, mainly to be able to review video on the device while the car was parked and I was in another location away from the device. He narrowed down the selection to two devices because they had built in WiFi. Ultimately he advised Cobra may be the better option. Built in WiFi and gps gives the illusion that the device can stand alone. It was never clear from the advertising or in package manuals that the phone needed to be near the device.

Stopped working within 2 weeks and the Best Buy return window was 15 days so they refused to take this defective item back. The rear camera never worked and was always green toned and the front camera would randomly stop recording on and off while driving. Additionally the camera was unresponsive to buttons and ultimately completely unreliable.
