This is my third purchase to the compustar remote starter. I purchased one for myself and I totally loved it, then bought one for my wife, then another for my mom. I was a little nervous about the problems I have heard from online reviews, but I haven't had any problem with this particular model. Bestbuy Geeksquade did a great job installing it. PS, It would worth it to upgrade to the 2-way remote for an extra $100.

I’ve put this on my plast 2 cars. It works so well and i dont have to scrape ice anymore.

The Compusttar 1 button remote does the jobs, no bells, no frills. And the Range of the transmitter/receiver is not by far the longest. However if you want a remote start to start your car from inside your house on cold mornings it will get the job done. Only recommended, but only if you do not want all the bells and whistles. On a side note it only comes with ONE remote, however the install team tested and it does still work with your factory fob. So we put away the compustar remote and only use our factory remotes by using a 3 button computer

Best Buy had such a great deal on the remote start from Compustar that I purchased two of them. One for a 2004 Pilot and another for a 2015 XV Crosstrek. Price included install which was half of what Subaru is asking just for the remote start hardware. I had them both installed before Christmas and couldn't be happier with the results.

Excellent product, affordable and user friendly. This remote starter was professionally installed in our teenage son’s car, by Best Buy employee, quickly and efficiently. Our son absolutely loves it, especially when he uses this system to start and warm up his car on cold days. We are happy with the purchase, and highly recommend it!

Bought this for my fiancé. She’s one of those people that doesn’t like to go outside real quick and start the car to let it warm up. She loves the fact that she can start her car from inside the house while she’s still getting ready and her car is nice and warm by the time she gets to it.

So far so good. I love going out to a warm vehicle, and windows thawed out.

sooo...i mean. ok..so hyundia discontinued its bluelink services on models older than 2018 i believe, which included remote start. So, being a sucker for convenience , i heard about Best Buy selling & installing remote start equipment. So they initially told me the install would take about 2hrs-2hrs30 min. The install ended up taking over 5 hours & I had to call a friend to come get me because I don't live in the same city as the best buy. And the guy was making it VERY known to me that the install was difficult, as if there was something I could do about it. So all in all, I guess it was worth it , esp with the warranty, but there is a HORRIBLE glitch. If you lock the car with the original fob, it will start the car. It has done this 3 times since i've had it. So i'm sure thats not the only glitch and thats scary to think that your car could just be running without your knowledge. I found that out on my own , there was no mention of that by the techs.

Really nice, I can start my car from my kitchen and when I get to my car it's all nice and warm, and the frost is melted off my windshield.
