We have installed this model in multiple vehicles. 2015 Honda Civic, 2012 Jeep wrangler and waiting on a 2019 Rav4 installation. This product has worked for years, and we recommend this item! Unfortunately the latest one we ordered for my husband's 2005 Chevy Silverado on black friday was cancelled, so we decided to go with the Viper brand since our order was cancelled. You also might need to purchase other parts if your vehicle needs additional parts, check with best buy prior to scheduling installation.

Works for what you want it to do.. close range remote start. Just remember to preset the air conditioning settings before you exit your vehicle. Emphasis on the close range.

My Best Buy experience with my remote start installation was very poor. My wife purchased a Viper DS4 remote start for my birthday approximately 4 years ago. Everything was working great until I went to change my vehicle batteries. The remote start lost function and I had to schedule an appointment for reprogramming. The tech could not get it to work and convinced me into purchasing a Compustar Remote Start. I scheduled another appointment and purchased the Compustar Remote Start and they still had a hard time getting it to work but finally did. I asked the tech if the remote start was programmed for a diesel truck ( there is a program setting for a delay so the glow plugs can heat up preventing engine damage). He had no idea what glow plugs were. This information about diesel engine delay start is written clearly on Compustar's website and is nothing out of the ordinary. On top of the poor service received the install tech's have their friends running around and is very unprofessional. I now have to try and make another appointment to get this fixed when the original problem is the tech's do not have the knowledge to be doing this work.
