Installed on a 2018 corolla with a start touch button. You can start your vehicle from anywhere with the app, A friend of mine was able to start the vehicle from Mexico also to unlock and lock the doors with the app. It comes with a nice small antenna that goes on the windshield with a blue led blinking when is parked, really nice! Pros: you can start your vehicle virtually from anywhere. Cons: the app sometimes got a little bit glitchy, but you can close it and reopen it again and that fixes it. App requires a monthly plan of $5.99 or $11.99, or $119 at year, $287 for 3 years. Other: the basic keyfob originally included with the Compustar starter has to be disabled, the factory keyfob will still work. So you can either use the new one, the app, or the original one to start your vehicle. Overall: great feature to know where your car is all the time thanks to the gps module.

Works perfectly! The app is so helpful, I was actually across the country when my alarm went off and the app notified me so I was able to catch the guy on my ring camera. It’s also been great to turn on my car from office when it’s all the way in the parking garage. I have a 2013 Toyota RAV 4 for reference

I am very-very-very happy with remote start. I am happy with hardware, software, installation services! Best Buy, yoiu're such a great place to install remote auto start for a car! I have Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV with button push keyless start. The installation price was the same as for my other simpler vehicle (an old Kia). This is a great solution! I can start/stop my car, unlock/lock the doors, even open trunk all through app or on Dronemobile web site using this cellular module. I can see the temperature inside, battery charge status. car location on map. I can't express my excitement! Works very well and you do not need to worry if the remote control's signal reaches the car as the cellular service is almost everywhere except for some underground parking lots obviously. This thing is a must have if you live in a cooler place or to run your AC remotely starting the car during the Summer time as well.

After Viper being the only brand of remote start & upgrade I’ve ever had, I went with Compustar & this upgrade kit at the recommendation of the installer Nick at Best Buy Manahawkin. I’ve got to say, I’m impressed. Having the Drone Mobile is nice as I can start the car when I’m miles away & it’s nice & toasty warm by the time I get to it. Navigating around the Drone Mobile app took some getting used to & is real nice. I was able to notice that I forgot to lock the car when going in the app & fixed that with one tap of the Lock icon. A cool concept is being ablt to customize the display to show what commands you want visible & pic you want associated with your vehicle. There was a charge to install the Drone Mobile & it’s well worth it. The 2 way remote fob is a little smaller than I expected, but is still very nice. In my pics, I’ve included one where it’s side by side with a Viper fob so you can see a size comparison. Compustar is a bit more rugged looking which I personally like. If by chance you have big fingers and/or the buttons are a little small for your liking, I would suggest getting the 2WG17-FM fob or the Pro 2WG18-FM fob. I have pics showing a side by side comparison so you can decide for yourself if you want a fob with bigger buttons or not. As of this review, Best Buy doesn’t sell the G17 or G18 yet. You can find them on Ebay or Amazon. Programming them is real easy to do. You would only need the fob as the antenna is the same one installed on this upgrade. All in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase & hope my review helps other prospective buyers. Nick was spot on with installation time & how to use the system.

Fantastic addition to the base remote start system.i had the remote start system installed a few years ago and got this installed Dec of 2023 at best buys installation center. This was a huge improvement over the remote only system I had earlier. This added app connectivity through my cell phone. It is quick to respond and it gives me access to make sure the car is locked/unlocked etc. There is a subscription but there are a few levels for you to choose from. It ranges from $3.99 a month to $79 a month. I ended up paying $179 for 5 years of service, so there are some healthy discounts for longer terms. My opinion is that 2.99 a month paid upfront for 5 years is a no nrainer for what I'm getting.

Great purchase for my wife. She hated going into the cold to warm up her car and now she can do it from inside! Works great, very nice 2way remote that you can purchase separately. Also, because I am a member of Best Buy’s Total Tech program, install was free!!!

This is a very good product works like it should and the phone is the best thing they did you can keep an eye on everything when your not near it and start it from anywhere

Minnesota is Cold! This was recommended to me by the tech who installed me remote start. He was so right. On my previous vehicle, on very cold day, it might fail to start and I wouldn’t know it.the feedback with this unit confirming it starters worth it alone. The range on the fob is also amazing, so the start confirmation is doubly important since I can start my vehicle while I am still out of sight. Then there’s the ap. I tried the 30 days free thinking I wouldn’t actually subscribe. Well I re-upped. It’s amazing, with tons of features. You won’t regret this!

Great product, works perfectly. Key fob is nice and so is the app. You can add this on to the basic remote start system. Highly recommend. Compustar blows viper out of the water, would not purchase anything els.

Great value. This has worked great during the summer months. It allows me to remote start that car to cool the vehicle before loading up my son. I'm very happy with it. It is money well spent.

Works great. Would buy again and again. Bought this for a 2017 Toyota Camry. I got this because i wanted my wife to be able to start her car from inside the hospital she works in which is a block away from where she has to park. The fob makes a noise and lights up to let you know its been turned on.

Upgraded to the Compustar 2-way remote start from the pre-existing Clifford remote start that was in my vehicle from the previous owner. The distance, audible notifications, and ease of use are a huge plus. I was also able to add on the alarm system to it for an all-in-one package. Didn't sign up for Drone though because it's not needed in my instance but I can see the benefits. I've used DEI 2 way alarms and remote starts for 10+ years but Compustar is much better in terns of quality of product.

I can start my car at very long distances. I am able to make sure my car is warmed up in the mornings. I am really happy to get inside a warm car on frigid cold days, plus the price was not high.

I am very happy with this remote start and the service technicians at the Braintree location. They are very reassuring and competent. This is great for starting my vehicle in the cold - has good range of location.

I love my remote start especially because I can use the app to turn the car on or off open the trunk and unlock or lock the doors the only thing I would say that could be changed it the loud chiming noise the remote makes when the car is turned on other than that I love it

I had this installed at Chapel hill Best Buy. The install was professionally perfect!! The Geek Squad manager Chris went above and beyond to make me a very happy customer. It was integrated seamlessly into my car. Everything from the 2way remote to the drone system works great. Just sorry I didn't invest on it earlier. Definitely recommend it. Great product.
