The Compustar Remote Starter has done everything it's supposed to. I can start my car from the house or my desk at work during the cold mornings or evenings and allow it to warm up properly while keeping the doors locked and vehicle safe. It claims a 1,500 ft range, but it's probably about half that in actuality but that doesn't affect how it's used much. I can see where a longer range would be beneficial in store parking lots, etc, but for 95% of the use, 750 ft is plenty. It does take a little longer to start, up to 8 seconds of holding the button than other remote starters I've used, but again, more of an inconvenience than an actual thing wrong with it. Also, figuring out the number of clicks to unlock just the driver door, or to unlock all the doors is unpredictable.

Needed adapter for remote starter kit, only $20 but install was free.

The hardwire installation kit came with the remote starter that was installed by Best Buy. The remote starter is absolutely the best addition that I have made to my car. The installer did a fantastic job and I would buy it again in a heart beat.

This hardware installation kit is included in the price of the car starter but ordered separately to fit the car it's being installed in. I had the Best Buy Geek Squad installation department put it in my vehicle and it functions perfectly. It's guaranteed for life of product and you can go to any Best Buy store with an auto department to have it fixed if you have any issues. I highly recommend this!

Part of the remote start installation. Things work well for the couple of weeks since I had it put in the car. The kid appears to be more of a universal kind of cat, so if you know what you’re doing and can follow the instructions and figure out which wires you need and don’t need then it should do the job.

Bought this for my aunt for Christmas. Works like a champ. Really good range. Her words not mine. Was installed in a Kia Optima.
