For the price it is a good product. For a silky smooth look, you will have stroke the hair at least twice with the flat iron.

I purchased this flat iron because my favorite expensive flat iron decided to died out on me. I purchased this one to get me through until I could purchased a other one of my favs and let me tell you this flat iron is better than the one I had!!! I absolutely love it!! Thinking of buying another one just to have as a backup! I have thick curly ethnic hair and I set it to 15 and can pass it over my hair once sometimes twice and my hair comes out bone straight!

I got this because I needed a new flat iron and it was on sale. I'm amazed on how well it worked, and how shiny and soft it left my hair without drying it out. I have fine hair so I don't know how it will work on thick coarse hair, but I imagine it will be awesome!

This works perfectly for me. It really does keep down the frizz. And my hair and thick and curly. And it always frizzes I when it get humid outside, but this flat iron keeps it down. I love this flat iron. It is actually wroth more than what it is selling for.

This is my second time purchasing this exact same flat iron. I purchased the first one, in a hurry as my CHI suddenly quit heating. I had every intention of buying another CHI, until I used this one. That was in early 2013. It is still in great shape, and heats just as the day I bought it. I happened to notice it was on sale here at best buy for less than $15, and could not pass it up. I originally paid $45 and got every single penny out of it plus some. This is well made, and can take one heck of a beating. I have dropped this thing at least 50 times, with no major damage. It glides down my hair smoothly, and does not pull or tug. I have natural curly hair, and this flat iron eliminates frizz, as well as straightens with little effort. I would definitely recommend this product.
