I have owned many flat irons and this one tops them all. It has 5 heat settings. I used the lowest setting to curl my hair and in just a few minutes I had curly hair haha. I also flattened it to. It also has these grips to hold on by the hand and the tip of the iron to help hold it and not burning yourself which I have with my other one's. It heats up in seconds! I highly recommend this product.

Best hair straightener used in 10 years

Verdict: This Infiniti Pro straightener by Conair is fantastic. My wife and both my daughters have curly hair (Type 3A), so we have owned dozens of hair straighteners over the last 10 years to straighten their hair to change things up. This hair straightener is the best we have ever used, period!
First impressions. It is a good looking and sleek machine. It has a nice coating on the heating plates to protect the hair. The digital screen with the temperature indicators is a REALLY nice feature.
Features. This straightener has a really nice ergonomic handle that makes it really comfortable and easy to handle. This is the first hair straightener we have owned that has a comfortable handle. The straightener also feels light, so it takes less effort to use. Once turned on, the straightener heats up very quickly. Like other straighteners, you can adjust the heat on it to suit your hair. This is a nice feature to control how much straightening you want to do.
Performance. Straightening hair can be damaging for the hair, but this straightener works so well that it only takes one or two passes to fully straighten the hair. This is amazing because it minimizes damage to the hair. Also, for some reason, straightened hair is lasting much longer than usual, so the straightener is working better than any other we have used.
Things I love:
- Fast heating
- Really nice coating on plates
- Heat indicator
- Works really well!
Things I don't love:
- I wish the straightener came with a storage case
Overall, this is the best straightener we have ever owned, and this is after owning dozens of straighteners. We highly recommend it.

I tested this on my teenage daughter's hair. She is in between 3B-3C hair (normal porosity and thickness, Half Asian & White, long, untreated dark brown hair) but when we tested her hair, it had been brushed out and in a bun for a few days so her curls were much more relaxed.
The InfinitiPro did indeed heat up super fast. I turned it on and by the time I had clipped up 4-part sections of her hair, it was ready to go. It has been a very long time since I have used a flat iron and I was apprehensive of the indented buttons on the side that controlled the settings, but that turned out to be a blessing as they prevented me from accidentally changing the settings while I was working with her hair.
The built-in stand (more like little plastic nubs) didn't get in the way but I felt they were useless if you did not rest the iron near the edge of the counter. You see, the iron is slim and so the weight of the cord easily flips the iron onto its side unless you prop it near the edge so that the cord can dangle below. The iron is lightweight and comfortable in the hand.
As far as effectiveness, we used some heat protective oil on her hair and even the lowest setting gave us a nice, smooth, silky finish that she was able to keep for two days. The iron glided over her curly hair with no effort on my part. It also brought to our attention that she was in need of a trim, the ends were much more visible when straightened. Ha. Overall, the flat iron was easy to use and produced a sleek finish on my daughter's curly hair.

Was able to test out the Infiniti PRO by Conair Gold 1-inch Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron. First prepped my hair by washing it (see photo with hair washed).
When using the Infiniti Pro Flat Iron, the iron heated up quickly allowing me to continue to press my hair without the waiting time of some flat irons. There are a few heat settings and a button to provide a boost of power for heating. When using the flat iron, the gripping of the iron was a bit different than what I am used to. It took about 40 minutes for me to completely flat iron my hair. It normally takes about that much time. I felt that the flat iron did a good job at pressing my hair. However, I did struggle a little bit, with the gripping of the iron. Took some getting used to. As my prior flat irons are made a little different. Was glad to see that my hair did not burn.
Next, I waited a few days to see how long the press would last. My hair is still flat, however, I did have to touch it up with oil and or hair lotion. This is to be expected with my type of hair. It has been about a week and my hair still looks pressed. Overall, I am pleased with the iron. I would recommend it.

So I recently had my mom visit for holiday time! She’s usually traveling with everything and her bathroom sink. So I told her I stocked up and got her favorite shower stuff and this cool flat iron.
She raved how quick it heats up. We turned it on and in seconds it was scorching hot so be careful!
As someone with thick dark hair in a humid state there’s always frizz in her hair.
This flatiron was quick to remove the frizz and it looked awesome.
I didn’t know if she’d love it but now she’s gone and purchased one for her home and insists that this be here for every visit moving forward!
So, I’d say this was a score and a win for me and my mom!

This flat iron is worth every penny. It heats up in about 60 seconds, it has an on/off button, and several heat temperatures. It curls our hair on the lowest temperature beautifully, better than a regular curling iron, even my teenage granddaughter’s very thick wavy hair!

I wanted a smaller width straightener because my hair is right above my shoulders. Heats up quickly, easy to use. My hair feels great after. I love it.

This flat iron gets really hot. I have course curly hair and i leave it longer in the front tucking it behind my ear. I needed a really good flat iron to straighten the front piece of my hair out. This did the trick

This product is very easy to use. The buttons are very clear as far as what the functions are. It only has 4 specific heat settings though, so I wish the temperature could be adjusted to a more specific temperature if necessary. It still has better temperature options than other straighteners I've used that were way more money. It heats up very quickly and also cools off rather fast as well. It did a great job straightening but I still had to go over some spots 2-3 times. It works best if you use it slowly and on small chunks of hair, but that is the case with nearly every straightener out there so no complaints on that. It is very lightweight and I imagine it would be very easy to travel with! It is one of the smaller straighteners I've seen but it does not lack in performance because of that. I would really recommend this product.

Pretty poggers, I just don't like how the controls are on the side since it makes it easy to accidentally turn off the iron while I'm using it. I like that it shows the exact temperature it is, rather than being a dial.

Love all of the heat options. It glides on my hair and there's no fear of over heating. Recommended to my beautician and she loves it. I even bought an extra one.

This is a great little iron. The slim plates that also float let you get really close to your roots. And 455 degrees, max heat setting will straighten anything and do it fast. From coarse to fine, this iron does them all equally well. The ceramic tourmaline plates make this possible .There are no hot spots, the plates are very uniform dispersing, nice even heat. Comfort grip handle, auto off is also nice incase you leave it on. The cord is long enough to give you plenty of wiggle room. The iron is well made, not too heavy, super easy to use and the buttons are very ergonomic. Very good iron that can compete with any of them.

In the box is the flat iron and an instruction/informational brochure.
Out of the box, I plugged in the flat iron, turned it on and set it to the setting desired heat setting. There is a red light with the temperature setting and it continuously stays red. Inside of the instruction/informational brochure, it does tell you what setting to use for what type of hair.
My hair is thick, 3c and frizzy and it normally takes me about two hours to perfectly straighten my hair. For this reason, I normally flat iron about once or twice every couple of months. Because my hair is so thick, I have to straighten thinner pieces and it have the run the flat iron through my hair ten times to get my hair smooth. This flat iron is not like that. I was able to use slightly thicker pieces with the higher setting and it was straight within two to three runs. This flat iron is great! If I went ahead and straighten thinner pieces then I only needed to run my hair through once or twice.
I also love the design of this flat iron. I am able to get closer to my roots because the plates have a plastic lip on both sides. Also, if I want to hold the flat iron with both hands, I don’t have to worry about my thumbs and fingertips burning because the of the design. The top of the flat iron is completely separated from the plates, so the the tip stays cool. There are also grooves where the other hands thumbs and fingers are where they also do not get hot as well. I also love how the power button and the plus and minus button for the temperature are set inside of the flat iron so that you don’t accidentally turn the temp up or down or turn it off.
Overall, I LOVE this product and I would recommend it to friends and family! I can definitely see myself buying again!

SUMMARY
-------
At this price it would be difficult to find a ceramic iron which works as good as this one does. I think Conair - Infiniti Pro Gold Flat Iron is the straightening iron to buy if you want to straightening hair.
Pros
----
1. Gets hot fast
2. Gets really hot and works on my wife's super curly hair very well.
3. 5 heat setting and for my wife it works best on the hightest setting.
4. Light weight and slim iron, lets it get to the roots.
5. Looks nice and durable.
6. Auto shut off after 1 hr.
Cons
----
No Complaints so far.
DETAILS
--------
Design
------
Talking about design, its light and looks well built. It heats up pretty fast and it has a good 5 heat setting. Most of the time you end up using the highest depending obviously on the curls on your hair.
Usage
-----
Its simple plug and play, Just set it to the setting you need out of the 5 settings and it heats up quickly under 15 seconds. Typically my wife uses just one hand for the iron and if need be, you can use both hands as it has grips at the end so that you can use both hands and wont get burnt.
Best feature is the 60 min auto shut off since i have seen my wife forget to turn/unplug the iron off. This really helps as i have a naughty 3 year old at home.
Overall you can beat the value this provides and the quality. Good buy
