Heat setting not hot enough.

Bought this one thinking it would be as good as my old one but, the hot setting doesn't get hot enough. I need the heat for my curls to look good. The diffuser part is to keep from having too much force from the air so my hair doesn't frizz. I just can't seem to get my hair dry with this hairdryer. Disappointing.
