Excellent value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In rural Georgia I have 1600 sq. ft, solar-metal home (not only metal walls but also a full metal roof, on which there are 54 solar panels). It’s actually 3200 sq.ft but half is garage, separated by a thick metal wall. For the residence part of my home this WeBoost 4G, 470103-A cell phone coverage booster kit took me from maybe one bar sometimes/somewhere inside to a consistent, three if not four bars in every spot, even in the two bathrooms. It was worth paying $20 extra elsewhere to get an extra 360-degree inside antenna (hangs like a cereal bowl from the dead center of my home, just under the roof) plus a handy outside antenna mount, in addition to an in-line lightning arrestor (not clear if that last item comes with all WeBoost kits). BTW, I bought this "up to 5,000 sq. ft.” model to overshoot my home’s 3200 sq.ft footprint (again, 1600 sq. ft. residence + 1600 sq.ft. garage) and get coverage in my garage, as well as on my 1000 sq.ft. “surround-porch.” I’m disappointed that the Weboost won’t give me 3-4 bar coverage in those two areas (two bars only). I guess it’s tough getting signal to penetrate metal walls bearing foil-pouch (ice rink class) insulation. On balance, I’m happy. Special thanks to “Johnny,” in WeBoost’s "Support" department, for handling a problem that arose with buying extension cable (there’s a heavy duty cable option, which I took, but you need to watch out and get the right connectors on it).

Had no signal now I am streaming netflix!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this out of desperation. I had nothing for signal at my new house but if I went a quarter of a mile in any direction I would pick up 3G. So to my thinking the signal was there just very faint so I decided to try this out. Hooking it up for a test run just to get an idea of if it may even work just involved hooking up couple coax cables and running the antenna outside where I placed it on my car pointing towards a location close by I knew I had much better signal. Even with that I was getting good enough reception to text and make calls and even had 3G. I went the next step and mounted it off an old TV antenna pole sticking up of the roof. Now I get 4g and can stream netflix without any buffering. I am waiting to get some help on dialing it in for the best possible signal. The only negative I can say and this is due to my poor signal to begin with but I have to be within about 5-10 ft of the indoor antenna to get good enough reception for netflix. I still have signal elsewhere in the house but not enough for anything in high demand. So I will be permanently mounting the antenna in my office where I will be spending most of my time anyway. Hope this review helps and I will update when i have it dialed in!

Helped boost the signal

I cancelled HughesNet!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a rural area that doesn't get great service even outside. Inside the house you couldn't make a phone call, much less get online. As soon I hooked up the WeBoost I got 5 bars on my phone. It allowed me to cancel my HughesNet satellite internet service for which I was paying $90 a month. I only wish I'd bought the booster earlier.

Works very well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OMG I can now use my cellphone in the house. It's pricey but it's worth it. I went from 1x sometimes 3G to 2 bars on LTE. Install is not that hard if you are a handy person. Installed unit outside and the highest pitch in the roof where I previously had an antennae. Installed inside unit in living room on highest part on the wall where it is really out of the way. Works great.

Great Product....Really worked for me.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in the country surrounded by trees and in the house I normally had 1 bar of 1x. Sometimes on a good day I would get 1 bar of 3G. After install I got 3 to 4 bars of 4G no problem. Download speeds of 7 - 10 MB and no dropped calls. The only problem is that I have a 2 story house and the indoor antennae is installed on the main floor. The signal is a bit weaker upstairs but still have 1 bar of 4G and fast downloads. I may try to move the indoor antennae around a bit to see if I can improve it on the other floors.

Didn't work.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a well populated suburban area and to be fair I live in a little geographic dip compared to the area around me. Everyone that visits our home complains of the cell signal in my home (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc.). I can sit in my office chair and be talking with someone, lean back and disconnect the call. The best signal (1-2 bars) is on my deck. I purchased the weBoost in hopes that I could at least get 2-3 bars consistently. From an installation stand point there is a lot to this kit. I mounted the external antenna approximately 40' off the ground to the rear roofline of my home. The cable from it to the internal antenna wraps under my roofline into the home approximately 40' away. The antennas do not face each other. The light indicators on the front do show a problem. The Band 12/13/17 light flashes red. I just figured it's hopeless and should have returned it but it was such a hassle to install and uninstall the thing. I would not recommend this to someone that really is in a cell signal black hole.

I am sorry to see that the booster wasn't able to correct your signal issues in your home. Typically the booster is able to work well when there's enough signal outside for the booster to use. If there's a weak signal present and you're on Verizon, the top light will affect the signal of the booster since the gain is reduced due to feedback between the antennas.
