Q: What are the basics of installation? Do we need an external antenna? Is that included?
A: I just installed one of these inside my house, and inside the box with the booster has everything you need to install. I made a pole out of pvc pipe and mounted the antenna on my roof and the booster is on one end of the house and works throughout the entire house! Before my phone would always say no service and I would have to go outside to make phone calls, but not anymore!
Q: does this cell booster work outdoors
A: Thank you for your question. The Connect 4G can cover an area up to 5,000 square feet. We cannot recommend for the booster to be used to broadcast outside due to FCC regulations.
A: Thank you for your question! The length of coax largely depends on the outside signal. We typically like to see all lengths under 100 feet where applicable. However, if your starting signal is very good, we may be able to add longer lengths. The lengths that come in the kit are the minimum FCC requirement, so we try to utilize only what comes in the kit for best results. A: We were told by the Best Buy tech that it only amplifies current cell bars. If you have no bars, then there is nothing to be amplified so it won't work.
Q: Does this help data connections?
A: This is the only reason I purchased the unit. Before I was going from 1x to sometimes 3G now I have 2 bars on LTE. Love it
Q: How large of a signal range can be amplified? 500sq. feet? Thanks!
A: I have a 2000 sq ft area in a metal office building that it covers without any issues.
