I am a huge John Mayer fan so I'm biased! His music is so mellow and soothing, yet uplifting at the same time. This album is a good example of how diversified his talent is. His melodies and lyrics dig deep into your psyche as you listen, and you feel emotionally validated on some level. He doesn't fill up an album with meaningless noise or bubblegum pop. His music is the kind you will like (and listen to) for ever because it's not confined to a certain era or population. His albums are keepers, and this one is already one of my favorites.

This is John Mayer's Number #1 album. If you have never bought or listed to a John Mayer album before, this is the one to get. His other albums have been almost as good, but have never reached the heights that the music on this album has.

Excellent album. The mix is beautiful and if you like John Mayer, you'll love it. If not, give it a chance and you just may! Great to have a physical copy rather than just digital. The sound improves quite a bit.

I really enjoy this CD from John Mayer. Smart, soulful and unique, this collection of songs just gets better the more you listen to it.

Definitely a breakthrough album for Mayer and he brought in a whole new lineup for it. Mellow album and amazing songwriting.

This is an all around solid CD. The music is a strong blend of blues and pop. What John Mayer does best really shines through here in terms of making a lighter hearted--yet deep--slow cadenced record. As is to be expected with Mayer, it's a good album to kick back and enjoy or to play in the background of a romantic occasion. Some of the lyrical content is where it really shines, with tracks like "Belief," "Waiting on the World to Change," and "Stop this Train," where Mayer digs into subjects of war, the finite reality of our lives, and the desire to make the most of an imperfect world. The only weakness here for me is that it tends to fall a bit too deep into pop territory on a few tracks, but this is a matter of personal taste and didn't break the deal for me.

Amazing cd! I love him so much and I didn't even expect to find this cd at best buy.

Popular music n great new cd. Great band n I wanted to play in my car

Ok, I admit I am old school, so only was familiar with John Mayor on duets he had done with blues and rock notables, so thought I would give his cd a try. It is very good, but not typical rock, more a mix of blues, soul and definitely soft rock, not heavy metal or RAP. Yeah!!!! It's 10 years old so the price is right.

This is the album John Mayer stopped making "girly pop music" and started to spread his musical wings. From start to finish this is a stellar album with mostly mid-tempo tunes. You can really begin to hear his musical influences on this record and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to hear Mayer's more "grown-up" and authentic work. Got it at a great price too, thanks Best Buy :)

Nice music on this Cd. Love songs. Not quite what I was looking for, but nice Cd anyway.

the wife loves it, i don't care for it. However we can listen to it with the kids

Love this cd so much I bought it twice. I had it in my cd player when my car was stolen. When I found it again I had to buy it. Of all John's cd I think this is the best. So many good tracks you can out the cd in and listen from start to finush without skipping a track. Gravity is my favorite. On this cd he has a soulful bluesy spirit.

Met what I expected from John Mayer. Some great tunes. Stop This Train - a must about growing older and perspective. Just another one full of good vibes.

We got this to be in our cd player for the time period between when we start our car and when our phone connects through BT. Smooth easy listening for a few minutes.

Bought this when it came out but lost it. Had to buy it again as this is the best Mayer LP in his entire catalo

John Mayer is an excellent musician and writes great music. I believe this to be his best album.
