Psychic powers. Twisted story. Pretty solid overall.

It's not a bad game, but it does not suck you in like other titles. I felt the story just picked up and never really expanded on itself. I really needed something to keep me playing and I just couldn't do it. I got bored and slowly stopped playing. What a shame!

This game plays well but its boring and on the edge of just stupidity in a bad way. I couldn't even stay awake most of the time while playing it. I have no idea how the magazines rated it so well.

Well my 2past big purchase grace me with mistake and no willingness to correct it or lie! Oled lg 55 inch Bradenton store GM lied? Then the ps5 is on my recipt not there n says not ever was it?

Wanted to love this game but it just isn't very fun to play. Confusing, glitchy and annoying. No difficulty settings which I have never heard of in a modern game. Sold mine after 1 hour of play.

Just finished Control on PS4 Pro, and it was a joy from start to finish. I recommend turning off all the HUD (such as crosshair, healthbar, etc.) for more cinematic visuals, which is worth the extra effort imo. The experience was entirely glitch free, and I'm highly skeptical of anyone citing framerate, since some people just like to repeat things they heard someone else say. The acting was great, the story was timely, gameplay was solid, and the visuals were fantastic. 10/10.

I bought this during a sale despite not really enjoying shooters & not having played this studio's other games. I enjoyed it! Your primary mode of combat is still a gun, but aiming is very easy, ammo recharges automatically, and you gain many psychic abilities to complement the gunplay. These factors made me enjoy combat a lot more than I do in other shooters. Difficulty is still a bit on the hard side, but most of the game's bosses are optional, which allows you to skip most fights if you're really struggling. The setting of "paranormal FBI" has a lot of thought put into it, and the game is full of creative lore and even live-action video clips. These were a highlight for me--all the videos were creative or just laugh-out-loud funny. I think the story falls a little flat after the premise is introduced. For a game about alternate dimensions and the unknowable forces beyond out world, it really only has "spooky office" and a couple "abstract Mario Galaxy"-type environments up its sleeve. I'm all for playing as a powerful woman in my games, but Jesse has kind of a snide attitude which wore out its welcome by the end. In all I found this a satisfying gameplay experience and a mostly interesting, creative premise. Best of all, it's over in a tidy 20-30 hours, so you can dive into the DLC or move on to something else--rare in games these days!

What a fun game the only game I ever got all the trophies for in one play through. It is a very original and fresh experience.

Gameplay, weapons, and abilities are fun. But the story is confusing and boring. Not a good story.

Its clear there are a lot of people not telling the truth because the game is a complete ripoff. Boring enemies, boring levels, boring story, just a boring game. I would download it on playstation if it were free. Why critics and people are even giving this respect is beyond me....horrible game.
