A word to the wise: Be sure to confirm that your installer is licensed. Be sure that they use pipe sealant on EVERY threaded connector. Be sure that they test all of the connections for a leak. What I experienced because I trusted my gas cooktop installer without verifying: 1) I detected a small gas leak in the gas line connection after they left, had to contact gas company and have them come to be sure there was not a larger problem. 2) Then I had to un-install the cooktop, remove the gas line and put pipe sealant on the threaded connector parts on each end where they had failed to apply, and then had to reinstall the cooktop. 3) And why did I pay $140 for this, which Best Buy refuses to refund? Do yourself a favor and skip the best buy installation service and do it yourself or hire someone from your gas company to do it. If I had not been vigilant enough to go out and purchase a gas detector to test the lines after the installation (because something didn't seem right with the whole experience), I could have had a much bigger problem on my hands.

Installer was on time, polite, informative, competent and clean. Installation of gas stovetop is centered, flush, and square.

Delivery was hard because they kept changing the times but, when the guy finally delivered the cook top, installation was a breeze.

They charged us $200 for just upgrading an outlet to a power box to install the cooktop after spending about $12K on appliances bundle with them! It took them 4 hours to install and at the end it wasn’t even working! They said the cooktop has issue and it needs to be replaced! We’ve been already waiting for 3 months to receive the cooktop because it was back ordered so we had to wait another 3 months to receive a new one! We decided to bring our own electrician from TaskRabbit and he could fix the issue in a matter of seconds! The only issue was that the breaker box for the coconut was a bit loose so that was why the cooktop couldn’t turn on! Our electrician also did some other electrical jobs around the house for 3 hours and just charged us $200! The same amount we paid Best buy guys for just updating an outlet to a power box that takes only 10 mins! The guys that Best Buy works with are ridiculously expensive! Didn’t want to use this word but they’re basically rip-offs with limited expertise! The manager of the installation team even gave two different quotes for the same job! He first said $200 then the second time said $250! We didn’t have good experience with them!

Glad I used the free kitchen consulting because they helped us get everything accomplished. Main problem was poor communication between the installer and Best Buy.
