The cook top is balanced on metal rods because the opening is slightly larger than the cook top. The installer said an installation kit was needed but we can't find one.

They charged us $200 for just upgrading an outlet to a power box to install the cooktop after spending about $12K on appliances bundle with them! It took them 4 hours to install and at the end it wasn’t even working! They said the cooktop has issue and it needs to be replaced! We’ve been already waiting for 3 months to receive the cooktop because it was back ordered so we had to wait another 3 months to receive a new one! We decided to bring our own electrician from TaskRabbit and he could fix the issue in a matter of seconds! The only issue was that the breaker box for the coconut was a bit loose so that was why the cooktop couldn’t turn on! Our electrician also did some other electrical jobs around the house for 3 hours and just charged us $200! The same amount we paid Best buy guys for just updating an outlet to a power box that takes only 10 mins! The guys that Best Buy works with are ridiculously expensive! Didn’t want to use this word but they’re basically rip-offs with limited expertise! The manager of the installation team even gave two different quotes for the same job! He first said $200 then the second time said $250! We didn’t have good experience with them!

We used Bust Buy's In-Home Advisor believing that that would insure the most appropriate appliance purchase and seamless installation. Our experience was utterly to the contrary. The advisor examined our existing cooktop and told us that our existing 40 amp breaker service was appropriate but we would need a stone cutter to get the correct countertop fit. He related that he would coordinate with the stone cutters and cooktop installers to insure they were there at the same time. Once we made the cooktop and installation purchase, the In-Home Advisor coordination ended. He did not respond to our e-mails and we had to do the stone cutter coordination. The Best Buy cooktop installers set installation for the Friday afternoon of Memorial day weekend. They were supposed to remove the existing cooktop. Unfortunately, my wife and I had to pull out the old cooktop ourselves because the stone cutters related that they could not come and wait during the four hour 1 to 5 P.M. time frame set by the Best Buy cooktop installers. The Best Buy installers did not arrive until 5:20 P.M. Upon installation the cooktop installers advised us that they could not hook up the cook top to the existing electrical circuit as it was 10 gauge wire and the new cooktop required 8 gauge. By then it was 6:30 P.M. No electricians could be lined up to bid the circuit replacement job before Tuesday because of the holiday weekend. We had adult children and grandchildren at our home for the holiday weekend and no useable cooktop. The cooktop circuit replacement bid had to be coordinated by us and that installation occurred the following Friday. It cost an additional $425.

Installer did a great job installing stovetop AND was able to tell us the brand of the ONLY oven that would fit below it.
