Customer service was very poor on my installation!

It was re scheduled for a 8-12 time frame. They didn't show up until 4:45 pm on the scheduled day! I wasted an entire day waiting! i had to miss an event that i had scheduled around the installation time!

Horrible experience

I was never told it was on back order and this was right before thanksgiving. When talking to customer service they told me that this was happening all over the country. Best Buy people came out to measure the cut for the granite and messed that up as well. Thanks God I still has enough room to have the cooktop installed when they. Finally showed up. The Cook top is great, but the experience and installation was terrible, but I’m sure you won’t ever get back to me.

Terrible Installation process!!!

Their 3rd party company that did the installation was terrible at communication! No show/call to appointment prior to installation. Had to reschedule installation due to lack of communication. Then had hidden fees and made the cost of putting in a new stovetop higher than our budget. Horrible experience. I do not understand why Bestbuy would use this company as their 3rd party to do installations with such poor service. And to top it off the stovetop is not secure. It moves and is not level. Poor quality work. Unsatisfied customer for the installation of this stovetop!

So many confirmations but no delivery or install

Things I did receive: a call letting me know my item would be arriving sooner than expected, at least 4+ notifications on when my item would be installed/delivered, at least 2 email confirmations stating the same information, a call from the installer on the morning of delivery (almost 2 hours into the delivery window) that he couldn't find my item at the warehouse. For the price of delivery/install, there should be much better communication between systems to not confirm appointments when the item isn't even in the same city. Hoping that my cooktop actually reaches Houston tomorrow and will be taking ANOTHER vacation day on Monday to wait for installation. Save yourself some vacation days and inconvenience by installing it solo.

Disappointed with Best Buys System

Have a problem that the serial number on the product requires uninstalling the unit. The installers did not give me the serial number and it is not on any paperwork or the manual. You need the serial number for many things including warranty. It may have been on the box but the installers took it with them. I have called Best Buy several times and they told me that they do not have the serial numbers. They told me that they would send someone out to help me get the serial number. It has been 3 weeks and 3 calls and still nothing. 4th call is coming up.

Best Buy Third Party Vendor Installation Issue

Third-party vendor used to install induction stove top. He failed to install all components and lied to us when we inquired about it. As a Tech Member, Best Buy installers are always professional and well trained but not this time. The Tech Team was excellent when I called to report problem and tried to reschedule with new vendor but none were available.

Horrible Service

The solution was to just schedule to a different date rather than making it right and sending some out the next day. The 2 times I had installation show up both times they had no gas line kit. I ended up buying my own. I had to call support to get a credit. I must have called 20 plus times about this and not one time did I ever get a call back to me even though it was promised many times.

Cook top electrical circuit shortage

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible service as they left a gap between the cook-top and the counter top which has been leaking moisture and shortening the electrical circuit several times. I contacted Best Buy three times at least to please come and look at it before it burns the house down but no answer at all. I am very disappointed. I hope someone comes to fix it before it truly does burn the house down. It’s due to faulty measurement by the best buy staff and faulty installation by Best Buy staff as well.

very nice fit--BUT................................

Your install guys should carry caulk in black and brown to finish the job!!!!!!!

Bad customer service

This is my third hood from Best Buy the first one was wrong size second one defective product and last one would not work because I needed one with a rectangular attachment I purchased the one your customer service rep told me that would work ! So disappointed I am stuck with this GE hood that works partially until I find another one . So so disappointed

Best Buy Needs Better Installers

I contacted Best But installation at noon and they were unable to contact the installers. After 2:00 that afternoon they just showed up. No explanation for the tardiness, no apologies. They dropped the cook top in and left. They left parts off and did not install the sealant that attaches the top to the counter and prevents food from getting underneath. A correcting appointment was made so another four hours but the tech arrived not knowing what was to be done so he did not have the parts. Another reschedule only to have a no show by the installers. This is a problem.

However, shortly after the install was complete, a small gas leak was detected. It was challenging to schedule a repair. Ultimately the repair was fixed by another source, not a geek squad contractor.

Very poor workmanship

They failed to follow the manufacturers installation recommendations and intentionally left an exposed screw tip that can cut or scratch anyone when reaching for the drawer below the range top. Installer Chris stated "this is just how we install and it was up to me to address the screw tip". Lone Stars' owners have not returned my calls and after numerous calls and talks with Best Buy representatives, they have failed to correct the poor workmanship. I paid $475 for a custom installation that I am very unsatified with and will never buy from Best Buy again

You have lost a loyal customer

I purchased this back in May, had it installed incorrectly in June and since then multiple installers have come out and stated they don't have the tool to fix it. I've several Best buy numbers to remedy the situation and nothing gets done. It is now July and My kitchen is still not functional. I'm also missing a microwave and the new garbage disposal is leaking every where.

Lost "Elite" customer -- for good

I ordered a replacement cooktop back on December 4 and Best Buy has cancelled delivery on several occasions. On the last occasion, Best Buy notified me via voicemail on 2-8 that they were cancelling my 2-10 installation, and changing it until 3-24. No explanation was provided. I am going to seek a replacement product from another vendor, following which I will cancel my order with Best Buy. I wish I could submit zero stars.

Nice Cooktop/Too Much Wrong w/Install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chose cooktop, had B-Buy come measure; won't fit so picked another cooktop; have to enlarge hole for extra $150; arrives for install finding out we don't have to cut the countertop...why did we measure? and it was this installer that did the measure; cooktop does not fit flush against countertop...Hmm, they do in store?. Installer says they should not or they will break the top. Installer messes up the foam tape that goes between countertop and cooktop but ignores it, changes it since homeowner asked them to. Should there really be a 1/8'' gap between top of counter and bottom of cooktop?
