I bought a MacBook Pro in 2012 and from the get go, the computer was painfully slow. The dread beach all appeared if I had more than a few things open and opening most apps took minutes. Numerous visits to the Apple Store had me turning up empty handed. I was about to write off Apple completely as my MacBook has next to nothing on it and that performance was unacceptable. I saw this on sale and thought I’d give it a go. My computer came with 4GB from the factory. Wow. Night and day. The computer is fast, responsive, and like brand new. Before you spend the money upgrading to an SSD drive, try upgrading your RAM. It took maybe five minutes and I wish I would have done this years ago.

Not able to use on a 13inch MacBook Pro early 2012 despite claim that you can. Apple website suggest using different memory.

Unfortunately the memory did not work. After I installed it I turned the computer on and it wouldn't boot up, it just gave me a long beep every five seconds or so. I had to return the memory.

Didnt fit so i went to return it to the store to get my money back since it didnt fit. The return line was small but it was also fast .

I purchased these ram sticks this morning in an attempt to speed up my sluggish mid-2012 Mac-book Pro. I spent several hours yesterday clearing up space, updating, and doing literally everything possible to avoid having to spend money on hardware (even basically setting it up as a new laptop). Don't get me wrong, these things definitely helped but it was still a disappointing experience waiting for things to load and seeing the beach ball constantly spinning. 4 GB of ram just isn't enough. So I did a little research and decided that the reviews on this product were so solid that I might as well give it a try. Let me tell you I couldn't be happier. Installation was a piece of cake (thanks to the fact that I have an older version- be sure to check the specs of your computer to make sure this product is compatible) and it quickly started back up and voila- speedy, responsive, and so much more pleasurable to use. I tend to use several programs at once, including garage band. If I run into any issues with that I may upgrade to 16 GB in the future.

Did not work at all, I paid a lot of money, the cashier said it was compatible with my MacBook and it wasn’t.

It worked for about 5 minutes and then went dead. I threw it out

Misled on compatibility. Shouldn't use 1.0 GHZ for macs. Didn't even tried installing it.

Did not work in Lenovo T500 laptop. Had to return.

I installed these into a Mac Mini - made in NOTICEABLY faster (but that was because I installed 4Xs the original amount of RAM). Very challenging to replace RAM on a Mac Mini but doable.

Adding memory to 2009 iMac significantly improved performance. the original iMac late 2009 with 4 GB RAM after installing High Sierra was so slow, I was thinking of buying a new computer. After adding 8 GB RAM I reconsidered new one. The performance is acceptable. Apple can wait for another year.

Just did the upgrade from 4GB on my 2009 MacBook Pro & it seems to be running great. I watched a YouTube video that gave me directions on how to upgrade. There was 1 slight issue I ran into (my computer would turn on but the screen wouldn't show anything).. thing something got loose, so be careful when you're doing the upgrade. Fixed the screen issue & started right back up fine. Seems like it's running quicker with every task I'm doing.. streaming video, web browsing, social media etc. - with no lag.

Great product, good price, good brand. I instal ir in my iMac, the instalation was pretty easy and I worked great

After installing Catalina my MBP kept crashing. I noticed I had very little ram. So, I decided to buy this even though it does not list my computer model. Needless to say, it fits and my computer is back to normal. I searched a YouTube video on how to install this and did it myself. You will need a mini screw driver 00 and the ram. The hardest part was removing the screws.

Easy to install. Can't beat the price compared to the Mac store.

Bought this to upgrade our two year old Macbook (Aluminum), which only had 2GB in it. Easy process, and the laptop felt like a new machine with no more beach ball of death. Great price for a big bump in performance.

You can't argue with the price. Once I found the right screwdriver this took me less than 10 minutes from start to finish. Works great in a Mid-2009 MBP 13".

Wanted to give new life to my old i5 thinkpad. If you have a laptop that is windows , this is NOT just for Macs. If anything, the added testing done on this hardware made more likely to buy it.
