    • Type of Memory (RAM): DDR3
    • Form Factor: Laptop (The type of computer the memory is configured to fit in.)
    • Speed: 1066 megahertz
    • Latency: 9-9-9-24 (Refers to the amount of time between the moment a memory request is initiated and the moment the request is retrieved by a processor, commonly written as a series of 4 numbers, or timings. Each timing measures the performance of the module according to a specific parameter. Generally, the lower the numbers, the faster the RAM can respond to requests.)
    • CAS Latency: 7 (Column Address Strobe (CAS) Latency refers to the number of clock cycles (for synchronous DRAM) or nanoseconds (for asynchronous DRAM) between the moment an instruction or command is initiated and the moment the data result is available. Generally, the lower the numbers, the better.)

  • Speed
    • Memory Speed Rating: PC3-8500 (The RAM's bandwidth rating. The numbers refer to generation and transfer speed and are typically separated with a hyphen. For example, PC3-12800 would indicate that the module is 3rd generation and has a theoretical bandwidth of 12,800 megabytes per second (MBs). The higher the second number, the faster the speed.)

  • Features
    • Buffered or Registered: Unbuffered (Registered (buffered) memory modules are classified by the addition of a register between the memory controller and DRAM modules. When compared to conventional unbuffered (unregistered) memory, this type provides more stability with less electrical load on the controller, making it a common choice for use in robust applications, such as servers.)
    • Data Integrity Check: Non-ECC (Error-correcting code (ECC) memory helps to maintain data integrity within a computer system, protecting it from potential crashes as well as losses or changes to data due to undetected errors. Systems that use ECC have an additional chip on the RAM that acts as the error check.)
    • Memory Channels: Dual (Multi-channel memory increases the rate of data transfer between the DRAM memory and memory controller by adding more channels of communication. The more channels, the more memory bandwidth.)

    • Fan Included: false
  • Power
    • Voltage: 1.2 volts (Amount of power needed to support an electrical current.)

Q: Will this work for a MacBook pro 13" early 2011?

A: The Corsair - 2-Pack 4GB 1.0GHz DDR3 SoDIMM Laptop Memory Kit is compatible with a 2011 Apple MacBook Pro 13"

Q: Will this memory work in a PC?

A: Yes - I put this in a Windows laptop even though the packaging said "Mac" - the key is DDR3 SoDIMM. As long as your machine is DDR# SoDIMM RAM it doesn't matter if it's a Mac or Windows machine.

Q: Is this product compatible with mac book pro mid 2012

A: Yes, I had Best Buy install it in my Mac Pro that was a 2012 also. Work like a charm!

Q: Will these work in a 2011 21.5 iMac?

A: This memory fits most Mac systems. But BEFORE you buy it, click on your apple icon on the top left of your Mac. Click on about this Mac. Then click on memory tab. There it should tell you if your system uses the 1066 MHz speed or the 1333 MHz speeds. Hope this helps.

Q: Would this be compatible with my MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) 26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo?

A: Yes, it will, I just upgraded mine, it run faster than when it was brand new.

Q: will this work on a Lenovo T400 Laptop? See T400 specs below MEMORY:---Installed: RAM 4 GB (2 x 2 GB)--- Max Supported Size: 8 GB---Technology: DDR3 SDRAM--- Speed: 1066 MHz / PC3-8500 ---Form Factor: SO-DIMM 204-pin---Slots: Qty 2 ---Empty Slots: 0

A: Followed the advice of Corsair Art and contacted Corsair support. These memory modules will only work on Mac's according to John the support specialist. Best Buy does not sell the Corsair memory required for the Lenovo T400

Q: Will this work in my 21.5 in. Late 2009 IMac? It has two 2 GB DDR3 Sdram in it right now with 2 open slots.

A: Yes it will. However because you're already upgrading, I would recommend removing the two 2GB sticks and maxing out all four slots by picking up two of these 8GB Corsair RAM kits. The idea is that all your memory runs at the same speed and latency timings for maximum efficiency.

Q: Will these work with a Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102? Thanks.

A: Hi DG, From what I found out, nope. You'd need a 2x4gb kit such as this, but it'd need to be 1600MHz in DDR3L. This is what I'd recommend: CMSO8GX3M2C1600C11 If you have any other questions, please reach out: support.corsair.com
