Customers are saying

Customers praise the HS60 PRO SURROUND Wired Stereo Gaming Headset's sound quality and comfort, frequently citing its excellent audio and comfortable fit for extended use. Many also appreciate the headset's price and detachable microphone. However, some customers found the headset to be heavy and noted that the volume could be improved, along with the bass response and cord length.

first i'm NOT a normal use case as i refuse to any included USB adapters with any device as long as my computer has a suitable connector for them i would rather use that. and my computer has perfectly good audio jacks. and id rather not introduce a adapter that requires special software (iCue), thus adding another layer of failure to my setup. my main uses are discord, and google hangouts for phonecalls. i also use em on my android. i also have some replacement pads i bought and use with these that offer a better comfort, and keep the headphone off my ears (im using wicked cushions universal pads). in all this is a extremely simple headset, with a few bells and whistles that do not help it. the great: detachable gooseneck directional mic (more on this later), compatablility with LOTS of devices, a foam wind screen, and a REALLY nice nylon wrapped cord with silicone wires (this makes for extremely flexable yet durable wires) the average: a hardware mute button, and built in volume control the bad, theres a lots of bad here. the pads: they are the same that came with the HS60, and they still SUCK. they are WAY too soft for my ears, which touch the inside of the headset, so ears get ittitated (AKA hot spots). the mic: the mic has a rubber coating on the gooseneck which mnakes it want to return to the statring position, also mine was assembeled incorrectly and is pointed at my neck. and cause of the rubberistion, i cant twist it, cause it returns to the default position, so if i use it you can hear me fading away over 10 minutes. these 2 complaints will likely go away over time as i break in the rubber, and it gets stretched out the build quality: they rubberised as much of the plastic as possible, this will start to break down in a few months and get lots of nicks once it does. the hinges are 100% plastic (excluding the screws). and WILL break after a few months (ive gone through 2 hs60's in a year). and as i mentioned above. my mic is made in the wrong direction. audio quality: the "sorrund sound" is fake (aka why they call it virtual) there are only 1 speaker in each side. corsair have severely messed with the mics tuning in the headset itself, and it sounds HORRIIBLE. the mic is WAY too quiet. i had to set the computers gain to 50, and the mic boost to +30. and how theres a constant hiss. but people can hear me now. so i enable the noise supression, and now i sound strange, a tad too high, but people can hear me. the above did not happen with the HS60, just the pro. my second complaint with the HS60 line as a whole, is the stupid usb adapter. WHY a simple analogue splitter that takes the TRRS connecter and splits to headphne and mic plugs is perfect. i bount one else where and ive been using it with my plain HS60 and these, and the HS 60 jsut worked, these needed a lot of fine tuning to get working acceptably. the usb eadapter is just a way to FORCE you to install extra un-needed software called iCue) all in all im extremely unhappy with these. as they require configuration (which is hidden in windows 10) and prone to breakage. but best buy no longer has the HS60 so i couldnt get those. so i got a pro version, thinking they would work the same for me.

Poor quality sound. The bass is very poor and the interaction between the microphone and the speakers is non-existent. They are comfortable but the sound is depressing.

This is an OK set but nothing like the Bose - Over the ear system! Just don't get them from Best Buy! You could find they cancel your order without explaining why!!! I find they ship the junk items and, at times, cancel the item that goes with it!!!
