I've owned this headset a year on PC. The sound quality is good for everything, good and nothing more. Using the CORSAIR iCUE app, you can tune the equalizer and make it sound lively.
Pros: Very comfortable, I can forget it's on my head. The 7.1 surround doesn't go unnoticed. As I said the sound is good for everything: gaming, watching movies, or listening to music, better than your typical $40-$60 headset. Build quality feels premium. Has decent signal distance (at first) from when you walk away and have your headset on it doesn't disconnect.
Cons: You can hear this constant static noise playing in the background when the headphones are turned on; most noticeable when not listening to anything. After a year I'm hearing random beeps, and the headset is starting to cut out and disconnect when I just move my head or move away from the dongle a couple feet.

I've had them for over a year and honestly. For the price, you get a decent pair of wireless headphones that have pretty good audio quality. The software isn't THAT annoying to handle and customize what I needed to. Immediately, you need that software to change the headphone alert sounds to beeps instead of voice (awfully loud voice, beeps are eh.). The earpads. Are so awful. Honestly, they bothered me but I didn't really feel I could do anything. I got completely tired of them and looked up how to replace them--multiple forums highly suggest NOT to replace them due to potential damage and damage caused from potential customization is not covered by warranty. I did it anyway as I didn't want to spend money on other expensive wireless headphones. I heard a lot of snaps and clicks but I managed to change the earpads to velvet and what a lifesaver. Made my experience with these very pleasant not sweaty at all. I highly recommend changing the earpads just be careful to prevent any further damage. Don't even get me started on the battery, 8 hours of charge?!?! Yeah they might charge fast but after 7 hours you start hearing the low battery noise and it just keeps going. Honestly the only reason why I have them at 4 stars is the earpad change and they let me go to the restroom while I'm still on discord with the boys.
tldr; great for price, change the earpads (corsair advises not to but its 100% possible and I did it with no problem), the battery is shorter than you think, mic is decent but really nothing to be impressed by.
6.5/10 Very unreliably reliable.

These headphones are really comfortable, the sound quality is good, the microphone is pretty quality, and these are decent for both gaming and business meetings. My old headphones were not the most comfortable when I would wear them for over even 30 minutes I wear these pretty much on and off for 8 hours and I don't feel much fatigue, if any. I do wish the range was a little bit better The sound starts cutting out once you put a wall between yourself and the receiver but you get what you pay for. These are great quality for the price. Would buy again.

This headset is nice and comfortable and sounds great. I only have a few grievances that were worthy enough to take off a star: the microphone is very quiet and pretty bad, and the headset uses micro-USB instead of USB-C so it is annoying to plug in when the device is low on battery. And it seems to have sorta an average battery life, too, so if you are looking for intense 10-hour gaming sessions, you're gonna need to plug it in part of the way through.
Otherwise, I definitely recommend this headset.

Before I start the review, I felt it necessary to warn everybody else of what is NOT normal on this headset.
If you hear any kind of static, buzzing, or humming on the right earcup when you connect the dongle to your computer, make arrangements to return it IMMEDIATELY.
NO, I am NOT talking about the feature called "Sidetone". It is OFF and the static/buzzing is still present.
Yes, because it is a wireless device, it's susceptible to interference. But it shouldn't be a constant static or buzz in one of your ears. It is NOT NORMAL. Make sure you get the value you paid for the headphones.
I first bought the HS50 from Amazon. I found the build quality to be excellent-- It was the kind of headset I would buy; no RGB, no exaggerated gamer designs. However, I soon disliked the fact that it had a wire on it.
I was deciding between the Arctis 1 Wireless and the HS70 Pro. The HS70 Pro eventually won out based on the RTINGS (which rated the HS70 (NOT PRO!) better than the steelseries) review, thinking that the Pro would be even better, and my personal experience with the very-similar HS50. I haven't owned over-ear headphones yet with this good of a build quality (no creaking!). One slight con is that the volume scroll seems to be misaligned a little tiny bit causing the volume knob to make contact with the housing. However, it doesn't affect the functionality of the knob or prevent the volume knob to be used.
All is very nice about the headphones, BUT don't forget the fact that I had to get a replacement for the first one due to the static problem. I am hoping it's just a lemon, but seeing numerous threads on it online I am hoping that you look for what I would call a defect on the product, and take action on it immediately by either requesting a refund or a replacement.

Used this for PS4 and PS5. Great audio, good mic, very comfortable but only thing stopping me from giving a full 5 stars is the battery has finally started to die after 2 years of use, take that as you will. I would charge completely and I would get about an hour of charge before it would start beeping that I have to charge again. You can try and find a battery online but not an official one so ymmv

Unfortunately, I can't leave a good review for these. Yesterday I had nothing but good things to say. They are comfortable (firm padding though), stylish, decent sound quality (for the price), the mic quality WAS decent. However, today, the 4 pin conductor for the mic no longer makes contact with all surfaces in the headset. I didn't do anything special when plugging in the mic but never got any output to the computer. Tried updating firmware, reinstalling drivers, other computers. Finally I realized that pushing the mic in will get some feedback/mic... but as soon as you take it away, no mic. Guess I'll see what Corsair can do for me. If you bought these, my recommendation is to always leave the mic plugged in. I only used these 5 or 6 times for 45mins to an hour (father of 2 so time is limited) before they failed today, 16 days after purchase. We'll see what Corsair will do for me...

This is a really nice headset. It is comfortable on the head and around the ears and the sound is good. I bough my first one, with beige headband padding, still in the store in mid March 2020, for zoom meetings while I am working from home. I spent an hour in the store trying headsets. I chose this one because of the padding around the ears. I brought it home and it was immediately snatched by one of my kids for their zoom classes. I bought the second one, with black padding, on-line in mid April, and my other kid took it. They love these headsets. I borrow one of them in the afternoon when their zoom classes are over and I like them too. They are nice for listening to the music too. I wish they came in more colors. :)

Price is good and hearing performance is very good, however, mic problems since first month of usage. I played warzone and the majority of time they couldn't heard me even though I can hear them. I have tried everything, install and uninstall the app, but nothing worked.

Excellent Sound at this Price but with Corners Cut

The Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless headset is the newest addition to Corsair’s extensive lineup of gaming & general PC use headsets, coming in at a pretty darn good price for the features & sound. And while the sound – both headphones and mic – are extremely good, I found some basic corners cut in the design of the device (presumably to keep prices in that mid-range) to be off-putting.
Starting with the sound:
The sound is one of the best I’ve heard in a headset at this price point. Clear, crisp, with great response and booming bass, I found it very pleasing to use for everything from games to movies and even just simple voice chat. The headphones obviously are stereo, but the true sound is unleashed after installing the Corsair iCue control panel software (free download), giving you the ability to toggle to 7.1 surround sound. The 7.1 was again outstanding both on games that support 7.1 surround as well as movies with the same support. NOTE that you can ONLY enable the 7.1 with the iCue software, otherwise you will be relegated to standard 2-channel stereo. Additionally, with the iCue software you can toggle between 5 different EQ presets, or manually set any of the 10 EQ sliders to the sound options of your choice.
Connection with the iCue software was seamless and instantaneous, no wizards or other steps required to add it your PC. The headphones connect wirelessly to your PC with a USB dongle (included).
Microphone:
The mic produces clear sound, a nice deep bass sound to my voice, although I found that it is bad about picking up surrounding sound. Whereas more expensive headphones have modes that you can toggle to reduce outside noise at various levels, there is no filtering option with these headphones, so gaming in a quiet room may become a must. Gaming in a room full of gamers may be out of the question. More on the problems I have with the mic later…
Wireless Connection & Battery:
The wireless option gives you a cord-free gaming experience, with Corsair touting up to 16 hours of use without a charge. I found no noticeable lag in the wireless. The frustration with the battery & charge is that there is no way to determine what percentage the battery is at – no “button tap” on the headphones to get the status, no status reported when powering on, and no status listed in the iCue software. This basically means for those who do long gaming sessions you’ll end up having to prematurely charge the battery “to be on the safe side”.
CONS:
While I do understand that a number of “cons” are going to exist with a headset at this price point, some are odd and inexplicable.
Mic: The mic is detachable, but ONLY attaches to the left side and cannot be rotated to the other side (only plugs in in one direction due to the port’s placement and a notch in the connector), so right-sided mic gamers will be annoyed. Additionally, the chunky connector doesn’t allow the mic to be moved fully out of the way, rather it sits out several inches & never really gets out of your way (see photo). Also, as mentioned above, the mic has a tendency to pick up outside noise pretty bad with no way to control that via the iCue software.
Mic port: The mic port comes covered with a small rubber plug (see photo) to protect it when the mic isn’t in use (just using them as headphones). The port cover is all of 3/4” x 1/4” at best – incredibly small – and does not have a strap to tether it to the headphones. When it’s removed, it’s removed. Bottom line is that this will be lost in the first 15 minutes of ownership. A simple rubber tether strap to hold it to the headphones when not in the port wouldn’t have been difficult and is almost unforgiveable as a point they likely used to cut costs.
Volume Control: Volume control is done on the headset itself with a roller wheel volume control. If you’re moving the mic or trying to hit the mute button, which is right next to the roller, the ability to hit the wheel (thus cranking the volume up or down) is real.
Comfort: The headphones themselves are moderately padded and covered with faux leather. The cover leads to a lot of heat build-up around your ears & will likely result in a nice sweat ring (for me that was after about 30 minutes of use). I certainly would have preferred cloth or felt-covered earphones, or at least an option to swap them. The pad on the top band is also of a faux leather and was actually one of the better headband pads I’ve felt.
Charging: Can we all agree that it’s time for Micro USB to die? The move toward USB-C is becoming much more universal and ubiquitous, yet they opted for a Micro USB connector, which simply means a return to the old days of having to make sure the connector is turned the right way. There’s a reason Apple converted to an omni-sided connector for all its ports. It’s time that all peripheral manufacturers do the same with USB-C. Additionally, as mentioned above, the lack of any ability to determine battery level is ridiculous. This will either lead to multiple premature charges or getting the dreaded “battery low” in the middle of an all-night gaming session. This, too, is one of those unforgiveable oversights I hope they correct in the next firmware update.
BOTTOM LINE:
This a great-sounding headset at a good price, but with a lot of engineering cons that come as a side-effect of that price. If you’re willing to look past the smaller engineering shortcomings, you’ll find that this is a nice headset for your gaming or general headphone use.
