Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the great sound quality and comfortable fit of the HS70 SE Wireless Over-the-Ear Gaming Headset. Positive feedback also highlights the excellent battery life and the wireless convenience. However, some users note that the wireless range could be improved, and a few experienced issues with the weight and software.

Wiring must be loose, because 6 months in I started getting an intermittent crackling noise and now I barely ever get audio, even plugged in. Invest in quality.

Decent sound, low volume mic & not so comfortable

Bought two of these for myself and my girlfriend. The wireless range is okay (i am coming from a G933 and that has much better range). The sound on these are great however the mics volume is extremely low (similar to the corsair void rgb) . However, you can download a third party program to force the mic volume to be louder. Comfort is probably the worse thing about this headset. Like many reviewers, i found that the earcup cushion is way too thin. I do not have large ears and but my ear still touches the inner cup . After a few hours , my ears definitely started to hurt. My G933 is heavier and bulky but does not hurt my ears because its earcups are plenty thick. So do not get this if you want something comfortable for long hours.

Sorry this wasn't what you were expecting. I personally have the same headset and no issues but I'm sure my head is shaped weird and it allows for more comfort. If you have any issues with either headset please let us know on support.corsair.com CorsairGaming

I love these. I have the HS50's and have loved them for a while so when I heard that Corsair was coming out with a wireless set, I was sold. Great sound, great mic and super comfy. Totally recommend.

    My first proper gamer headset

Really happy with these. Super comfy even while wearing glasses. Sound quality is great and my friends on the other end say the mic quality is good too. I can walk around the house wearing them and chatting on Discord, and I don't lose signal. As far as I know the only thing that makes this one "special edition" is the colour, so get whichever is on sale. Cons: battery life feels short, and volume control is too easy to hit by accident. Also having some problems getting it to play nice with a desktop computer that has separate speakers, whereas it's fine with the laptop where the only thing it competes with is onboard sound.

The headset is very comfy and for the price is amazing! It comes with 7.1 Digital Surround, memory foam cups and a metal frame to prevent damage. My $159.99 HyperX Cloud Flights don’t even have surround sound or any metal present in the frame.

Good quality head phones and sound input/output is great. Used majorly for gaming and did its job ! The only downside is comfortability.. after wearing for a long period the headphones weren’t easy to wear. This was the case after adjusting headphones as well.

Decent head set. except for one problem.

I was expecting these to be very good based on the user reviews. and overall they are a decent head set. The sound quality is good, build quality is very good, the ear cups are decently sized, if you have big ears it may become uncomfortable after a while though. My problem with this headset is the low hissing sound when there is no audio coming through. I have tried going on ICUE (Corsairs Software for the headset) to disable Sidetone (mic. feedback) but i can still hear the hissing. I have tried disabling the mic outright and even disconnecting it but nothing worked for me. I would still recommend these because the build / audio quality is very good over all but beware of this problem. I have searched the web for a solution but have not found anything, If do ill be sure to come back and update this to a 5 star review.

      Hi,

Sorry to hear about the problem,

That's usually related to the feedback being experienced by the motherboard or an incorrectly ground USB dongle. Try to see if this problem persists on another system if there's a chance to try, and do contact us if you have any other questions: support.corsair.com CorsairGaming

    Great Sound Easy Setup

Gaming sounds great, the setup was just plug and play with the adapter and the Corsair iCue software I already had installed for my mouse immediately recognized it. Turn on that 7.1 surround option and you're golden. As for the mic, some people I play with say it doesn't sound great on their end but as long as it works ill take that sweet sweet sound over a better mic.

    Void Pros were Better

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I switched to this headset from my old Corsair Void Pros because the Voids fit very loosely. These headphones fit great and are very comfortable, but that is the only thing that is better about this headset than the Corsair Voids. Surround sound on the HS70s seems inaccurate and was better on the Voids. Sound quality is also worse than the Corsair Voids. I wish that Corsair made a headset that fits like the HS70s with the sound quality of the Voids. I'm going back to my Voids.

      Hi Arad,

That's indeed true, for every audio device you'll hear something like that when at 100% volume as sound starts getting distorted. If you have any performance issues, please contact us for assistance: support.corsair.com

OK comfort and sound, disappointing lifespan.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Average comfort(after adding custom ear pads), average sound quality, below average battery life, and after 3.5 years even after two battery replacements it won't charge to 100% and drains even when off(maxed out at 93% with a brand new battery, turned it off for 3 hours and when i turned it on it was at 76%). This, coupled with the Ironclaw mouse that I had to replace 3 times before giving up, AND my wife's Void Pro also failing, has led me to believe that corsair peripherals aren't nearly as good as their internals.

I was genuinely excited to receive these headphones since I decided to switch to wireless because wired mics just didn’t last. I’m disappointed to say that these do not work with the Xbox one And now I need to refund this item since it wasn’t specified anywhere in the item description. Good headset, just not what I need. In the future try to make these compatible with Xbox because I would love to have these.

This product was good for a few days before I started to hear rattling in the right ear piece. (This happened just after the return policy. I would have taken them straight back to BestBuy if I could have) I am sure it has to be the battery banging around because it sounds and feels like something heavy. That is not the only problem either. They have also started to sound distorted and hiss when certain sounds are being reproduced. I have contacted customer support and they issued a ticket for a repair, but they want me to pay for return shipping. Which I find a little crazy. I understand that Corsair is a computer parts manufacturer, but their audio competitors completely outshine them in the customer service department. I have had issues with other headphones like my Skullcandy Crushers and Jam Transit Sport Wireless'. And those companies have either sent me out a new pair, credited my account for the amount of the headphones, or provided a return label. Costing me nothing. I definitely would not recommend these to friends or family based on the customer service experience alone. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
