On the minimal function, you have to make sure it's in a USB 3 or better part. If it's just a power port, it will not communicate with the computer properly.

What a Piece of Crap

IF!, and (I repeat) IF! there would be at least a good software development (Icue is a piece of crap), a good communication between software and hardware developers, these devices would be not just good looking-shiny-ufo like-illuminated stylish-fashioned modeled toys or whatever... they would be already classics, a happy memory. anyways, I don't recommend this don't ever to my worst enemy. I will not even ask for a refund, just to save another poor customer of wasting his/her money.
